Guest guest
Hi !! Nice to hear from you! Glad to hear things are going well and that is doing so good on the trip. I spent 3 weeks at my sisters in May/June because she had a baby (her first), so I know where you are on that one! My loves his skates too, but is very unsure of himself on his. Hope you get a chance to keep in touch more... Sue ------------------------------------------- Introducing NetZero Long Distance Unlimited Long Distance only $29.95/ month! Guest guest
>> My loves his skates too, but is very unsure of himself on his. > Hope you get a chance to keep in touch more... > Sue > This is day 3 for working on the skates and he seems to be doing well. Right now my Dad is out with practicing somewhere while i am keeping an eye on my Grandma. My grandma is not doing so well and can not be left alone, so my Dad has been providing her with 24 hour care so that she can continue to be at home and not move to a nursing home. Its really too bad, b/c he has 2 sisters and they will not provide one ounce of care to help out around here. it is just so hard on my Dad. I give my Dad so much credit though fordoing what he can to respect her wishes to be able to live here life out in her own home. I am trying to post a picture of and the baby but seem to be having trouble. Maybe I will send it to someone private and have them post it for me. Anyone up to it?? Mom to 7, HFA Talk to you soon!! Guest guest
We got a lot of flack for the names we gave our children too. though I think they are quite nice. I looked at it this way whoever had a negative comment, obviously wasn't looking at the big picture which is the beauty of the child. Also I kept in mind that they don't have to like the name, so long as they love the child and eventually the name will grow on them and they won't be able to imagine the child as anything other than the name that we have given him or her. We also gave the children more common middle names Sully TYLER Chenoa TAYLOR Dorothea Trevayne CURTIS set CATHLEEN in the event that they chose to be called something other than their first name as my husband goes by his middle name. His first name is Ralph and he hates it so I have and all his friends have always known him as KEVIN. CHRIS (Who was almost named Doris Dorothy by my father another option was Lillibelle.) I'M THANKFUL FOR LAUGHTER, JOY AND THE HIGH SPIRITED GLEE THAT FILLS MY HEART TO OVERFLOWING (SIGH). -EEYORE Re: Hello Again!!! Thanks! It has been so nice getting compliments about her name. Guest guest
Thats a good way to look at it. At this point though Jeff's family has decided that they will not use her name and call her by something different. I dont think so! Oh well. Jeff's family can be so stupid sometimes. Guest guest
What is the matter with them..what are they going to call her..they should be rejoicing in the fact that they have a brand new beautiful baby girl in the family..not insulting you by saying they don't like her name. Guest guest
I think so too...to be honest noone in either of our families like the name. Not my side and diffenately not his. But jeff's family has not stopped complaining about it and how it is ethnic and not jeff is white...ugh! I could go on and on about how they complained about her name in the hospital when they came to see her and more but I think I will stop as you get the picture. UGH! Guest guest
Doug's family is big on nicknames and has given each of my kids several. I think that's something you just can't avoid, even if it drives you nuts (like when people call my kids Andy and Patty, ug!). Call her what you want hon, and don't worry about anyone else.
