Guest guest
Woke up with the intention of: putting shoes on, starting laundry and walking on treadmill for 10 minutes, making coffee, showering. This is what happened: squished shoes on over swollen, puffy toes. Separated laundry. Went downstairs with first batch. Started it. Got on treadmill. Walked for 45 seconds. ERIC got on behind me. Fell off. Big surprise. He never does that when MARC is on the treadmill, but he's just always gotta be up my ass. Get off treadmill angrily. Sift kitty litter before going upstairs -- already feel shitty, why not sift some shit? Get upstairs, go to front hallway for what I don't remember anymore -- and find PHIL SITTING IN ERIC'S SOCCER BAG PEEING ON HIS SHIN PADS. Totally soaked them. It's not even 10 o'clock. What next??????????????? Jacquie (for new members, Phil is a cat, not a baby)

Guest guest
> Gee, what's up with Phil? New sibling jealousy? Litterbox scooped too > late? Cystitis? > > Salli I think Zot has been using Phil's litter. It didn't look like it needed scooping, but when I scooped it it was really dense and smelly and some of the waste looked different from the rest. I've tried to keep Phil's litter inaccessible to the kitten, as it's in the basement and Zot's is on the top floor, but Phil can open the basement door himself, which leaves the path to the litter box wide open. I don't know how else to keep Zot out of Phil's litter, short of barricading Phil in the basement, which I will never do. :-( Or following the kitten around and sraying him with water every time he starts down to the basement, which is impossible, since I sleep during the night and cats sleep during the day. :-( Jacquie

The cat has to wear a collar with the " key " on it for the kitty door to open. So maybe a lock on the basement door & a kitty door like this with a collar only for Phil? Sorry your day started so poorly. It's hard to get back up when they start out so down. -Sara.

Guest guest
Oh yuck! What a way to start the day. I have no good advice though except to do the bare minimum.
