I shared I got a great promotion which is great but heres the bad news. They don't offer Kaiser as a health plan for managers. I will have Kaiser for 3 more months then I have to have bluesheild. I am seeing Dr.Umbach on the 12th for my first after surgry check-up and im doing fine but im bit worried I will not be able to see im long term. Oh and another thing can I stay in this club ???!! *smile* Well I have been with Kaiser over 20 years so maybe i'll be an exception! Guest guest
HI Marcus, Welcome back to the land beyond. I know that the first couple of weeks are very rough but you have made it this far. Have you been doing any walking? I know you said that you want to go on the treadmill after your doctor's appointment but take it easy. after all you don't want to end up in the hospital with complications. Guest guest
hello everyone - this is your buddy marcus. i'm doing well. it is 11:30 pm & i came to work to pick up a few things & check my email. i tryed to email you from home but it's not working. everything is cool on this end. i had my surgery last wednesday. i only stayed in the hospital for one night. i've been having difficulty sleeping because i sleep on my stomach. i had lap. i was in alot of pain when i first came home but paid for it the same evening. i drove myslef to the grocery store the next day & then forgot to take my pain medication before i left. by the time i reached home i was driipping with sweat. my heart rate was racing & i was in so much pain i could not bare it. i took 2 tablespoons of my medication but it did not seem to help. i then called 911. the operator stayed on the phone with me until they came. i had never been in so much pain in all my life. i have to admit that at that point i had my doubts about the surgery. by the time the amubance got to my house the meds were just kicking in. i was not thinking at all. the first 3 days were pretty rough. i was taking my meds like clock work, i was having such a rough time getting on & off the couch. my stomach muscles were killing me. sunday (4 days after the surgery) i begin to feel better. i was not feel as nauses. today is tuesday almost one week after the surgery. 80% of the day i feel normal. very little pain. i had some french union soup tonite for the first time. it tasted great. i over did it a little but i know better the next time. i'm going to start walking on the treadmill on thursday after my appointment with my doctor. well i have to run. i will definitely keep everyone posted on my progress. marcus 308/290/190 original/current/goal shell wrote: > Hi everyone. Guest guest
Marcus, You just had MAJOR abdominal surgery. DO NOT push yourself. Walking on the treadmill so soon may be too much. Take it easy and you will heal. Keep us posted on your progress. Guest guest
Marcus, I went back to the gym too soon and pulled a muscle in my abs. Then I had to do bed rest for about a week no fun. So take it easy. RevenStampin' Up! RE: Hello Groupies!! Marcus, You just had MAJOR abdominal surgery. DO NOT push yourself. Walking on the treadmill so soon may be too much. Guest guest
hey ramona - i am definitely taking it easy. i did not make it to the gym until after my one week follow up appointment. she gave me the ok to walk on the treadmill. the same day i went to my new gym and walked on the treadmill at a causal stroll pace. i feel great afterworks. she also gave me the ok to try some scambled eggs. it taste so good. today i went to the gym twice to walk on the treadmill for one hour because i am getting bored. i never broke a sweet. i am still going a a stroll pace. i love the new gym the i joined on capitol hill (in dc). the owner were stremely creative. they build the gym out of an abandon elementary school. anyway i hope everyone is doing well. take care marcus post op 3/5.03 sweetgemlady656@... wrote: HI Marcus, Welcome back to the land beyond.
