Guest guest
My RA doctor recommended water aerobics which is less pressure on the joints. I don't have transportation so I walk 3 times a week with limitations of course. Sitting in a chair while doing arm raises with 2 pound weights or extending your legs outward several times also helps. Riding a recumbent bike is good. You can also get information from a gym or personal trainer who may know some exercises easy on the joints. Irish
Guest guest
I use a modified form of Pilates and resistance bands. If you get weights with a D ring it is easier to use them on the ankles and the wrisrts so you don't have to use your hands to hold on to them Anet On Sat, Dec 26, 2009 at 11:52 PM, Dale Ellen Ulrich <deulrich@...>wrote: > Has anyone consulted a physical therapist to obtain an excersize routine > that protects your joints but allows you to do some weight and resistence > training? Guest guest
Hi all, I have recently joined a small personal training studio and the trainers are able to offer a wide variety of exercise routines for people who have a variety of special requirements due to illness & injury like arthritis, heart problems & paralysis. I have lost a bit of weight already, in spite of the " evil " prednisone! yippee!!! Sharon of Oz.
