Guest guest Posted June 2, 2009 Report Share Posted June 2, 2009 These herbs are contained in the Six Flavor Tea Pills Formula in Chinese (liu wei di huang wan), it is a very common, easy to get formula: Shu di huang (Rehmannia glutinosa/foxglove root-prep.) - nourishes blood, enriches essence Shan yao (Dioscorea opposite/Chinese yam rhizome) - provides harmonic body balance Shan zhu yu (Cornus officinalis/dogwood tree fruit) - tonifies qi, retards impotence Mu dan pi (Paeonia suffruticosa/peony tree root-bark) - clears heat, cools blood Fu ling (Poria cocos fungus/mushroom filaments) - provides tranquility; relaxes muscles Ze xie (Alisma plantago aquatica/water plantain rhizome) - promotes urination Again, I hope this helps someone.
