" I also bought and read his book, " Chronicles,Volume One, " and keep waiting for the next volume to come out. I've read several books about him, and my son gave me a book about him that mimics a scrapbook. I have lots and lots of his CD's, and the same son gave me his new CD, which opened at No. 1. I read everything about him that I can find. I have been to several of his concerts, and enjoyed all of them. My least favorite one was in a baseball park, and we were sitting so far away that I could hardly see him. I actually went to one Elvis concert years ago. Our car broke down on the way home, and we had to call someone and get them out of bed to come and get us. But it was all worth it. When I was teaching high school English and we were studying poetry, I would play songs and study them as poetry. I would have the lyrics typed out and give students a copy. I think that this made them appreciate poetry more and was not as boring as just reading poems from the textbook. One of the books that I've read about Dylan is " Dylan's Visions of Sin " by Ricks, a professor and poetry scholar. In the book, he compares Dylan's poetry to great poets such as Wordsworth, Donne, and Tennyson. I bought it and read it before I gave it to my son for a present. I had read the entire " ring trilogy " and " the hobbit " by the time I was nine. I was taught to read from JFK's " Profiles in Courage " by my older sister, which began a lifelong enchantment with the written word. I read Edith Hamilton's Mythology for fun while in early grade school. We were all bookworms, and I raised four more! > > > Ill have to check that out!
