Guest guest
Welcome ... Sounds just like fibro/CFS to me... The fatigue always bothered me more than the pain, as well. But more recently, my 'trigger points' in neck and back have been causing more pain and headaches. You are in the right place. > >Reply-To: onelist >To: < onelist> >Subject: New member - question >Date: Fri, 24 Mar 2000 11:55:08 -0500 > >I am new to the group and hope you don't mind a quick question. > >I am 35 and haven't been diagnosed with Fibromyagia or CFS, but seem to >have many of the symptoms I have read about, except for major pain. Guest guest
- welcome. I am sorry for your suffering... I don't take meds either... I have suffered almost 10 years and tried many meds that did not help much and I get nervous about meds because I am still young (24 yrs. old). However, some people here have found much relief with some meds that have improved the quality of their life. You are definitely in the right place to learn about coping with pain, expectations, other's opinions on your pain, etc. Unfortunately, there is not a one quick fix as many of us have hoped before. I think that educating yourself as much as possible and finding support from others and immersing yourself in a lifestyle that is supportive of health (stress reduction is important!) are the tools that we have now. I have learned alot based on other people's regimes on this list and I am considering getting started on some kind of med's in hopes it might help with the pain as it has for others. Glad you found this list. > >Reply-To: onelist >To: < onelist> >Subject: Re: New member - question >Date: Fri, 24 Mar 2000 17:56:49 -0000 > >Hi everyone, > >My name is and I may have CFS. Guest guest
It is possible not to have a great deal of pain. When I was diagnosed, I didn't have much pain but it has gotten worse. That might be an indicator that you have CFS, as the body pain is so to not be as bad as Fibro. The fatigue out weighs the pain with CFS. wrote: I am new to the group and hope you don't mind a quick question. I am 35 and haven't been diagnosed with Fibromyagia or CFS, but seem to have many of the symptoms I have read about, except for major pain. Have you ever heard of anyone not having a great deal of pain? I do have tender points, non-restorative sleep, fatigue, low-grade fever, "brain fog", and gastrointestinal disturbances at various times. I never seem to be able to lay down and rest without tossing and turning, and when I do go to sleep I dream all night. I always seem to wake up from a dream. I also have HBP and PSVT, a type of cardiac arrthymia. I take three different medications for that. VIP Add or view links about fibro/CFS. http://www.onelist.com/links/ TO unsubscribe. Guest guest
Thanks . My cardiologist says the beta-blocker I'm on can cause fatigue, but I remember always being tired before I started taking it. Not tired to a great extreme, but just enough that when anyone says "how are you" my standard answer is "I'm tired". I will do more research and if things progress see another doctor. Thanks again for your reply. Re: New member - questionIt is possible not to have a great deal of pain. When I was diagnosed, I didn't have much pain but it has gotten worse. Guest guest
Hi everyone, My name is and I may have CFS. I had flu 10 weeks ago and have been tired ever since. I feel better with total rest but as soon as I do the slightest thing relapse. I also have an irritable bowel, just in last few weeks, I either sleep 12 -14 hours non-stop or wake in the night and can't get back to sleep. I am weepy, impatient, bad-tempered sometimes with the kids and can't tolerate noise or bright light I have achy joints but it is not really pain, just a lowgrade ache.I feel panicky if I go out -I don't go anywhere without my husband. I don't want to take loads of meds -does anyone have any alternative advice?
Guest guest
I have never tried any holistic remedies for any of those symptoms. Maybe someone else on the list can help. Guest guest
Welcome ! I am , 43 and have fibro. I am sorry you are going through this and really understand how terrible you are feeling. The treatments are so personal that there is no way to say what would work for you. I found my doctor wanted me to have something to restore my sleep somewhat and then deal with the other symptoms. I hope you can find the help you need . I take melatonin to help me get that uninterrrupted sleep and I find that helps me. As well my Doctor has given me different meds for different problems. I am in a very bad flare right now and with spring approaching and no high stress level at home right now , I have no idea why my body is doing this. It is great to have you here. Guest guest
Hi , I believe I know first hand what You,re going though. I also ate at least a ton of dops tofind out that they did harm and worsened the situation, see after 3,5yrs doctors finaly had no choice but agree that meds and I dont mix well ,the only one that I tolerate and it helps somewhat is FIORINAL C 500.May be it'll help You too, beware it's controlled substance. Good luck! Warm regards Inna. --- & wrote: > I have never tried any holistic remedies for any of > those symptoms.
