Yes, , I was there with my pregnant daughter. I have been once again

denied by my insurance company but am going to get them more information and

file an appeal so will keep working at having the surgery. My daughter also

wants to have it and Dr. R told her that it would probably be good to wait 3

to 6 months after the baby is born so she is excited about that. I try hard

not to get bummed out by my insurance but sometimes tht is hard. I remember

you and wish you good luck with your insurance company. My doctor is helping

me but her office is so busy and they take forever to get things

accomplished. It is frustrating. Going to the clinic really helps to get

one motivated. I have had my physical and my psych eval and my letters of

support. Everythig but the approval of the insurance company. Pray for me

and I will do the same for all of those out there who are working at getting

insurance approval.

Rose,

I am on my second appeal of 4 and felt my last letter was pretty right on

with the information but maybe it was too emotional. I would also appreciate

the mailing of your letter if you would not mind!!! Thank you ! Paige

Hello ...

Who is Kaiser? I have heard this name a few times - is this your PCP? Is it

a type of insurance? I'm just curious as I may need to change ins companies

in order to get approval...Thanks

Wow, I am so happy to hear that!! I apologize for not responding to your other

post, but life has been rather hectic for me not knowing what is happening with

Kaiser and all. I am so excited for you that they approved you so quickly. I

had to fight for 7 months.

Okay, now before I have an accident laughing I want to assure you that you will

not smell! I have not had a problem with gas or any real problems with dumping

syndrome. It really is dependent on what you eat. I eat very little meat per

my choice. I prefer to eat veggies now. There has only been a few times where

I can say that I have experienced " dumping " syndrome and that was from eating

sweets. I was on vacation in Vegas and had to have a slice of cheesecake. It

was sooo good, but made me deathly sick. I lost it after about an hour from

nausea and vomiting. Other than that, rice doesn't settle right in my stomach

for some reason.

You will learn what you can eat and how much quickly.

I know this is short but I have to run for now. Have a patient due in few

minutes. Call me sometime at 363-6765 or 881-5567, so we can talk more. Have a

great day and again, congratulations on your approval!

Hi,

Ultram is like Motrin and Aspirin.

These drugs can be safe but in some cases they can lead to very dangerous

bleeding complications.

You really don't want a major bleeding complication.

I strongly recommend you stop taking all Ultram, Motrin, Naproxen,

Ketoprofen, Aspirin and other similar drugs at least two weeks before

surgery.

Terry, Not sure where shrewsbury is. There is a market basket in Danvers

and Middleton that I know of. I think there is another in the Revere

area. Try looking in your phone book to see if there is one listed.

Call first to see if they carry any GF products. Nothing worse than

travelling there to find out they have nothing. If you have specific

products in mind, I usually call the manufacturer to see where the

product is distributed in your area.

Thank you, Poly for your reply, I have add my intentions to legal database. Obviously I won't use any of the stories without permission, but now is still too early stage to talk about this.

Yes, we are going to be together, Astrid and me, and hopfully Corinna will be with us. I really hope Dr.Gallinat will be able to help us.

I have read on Tagesklinik web site that that they require to bring more than the sister told me (she ask only for blood group and sub-groups, but it is written also ECG not more than 6 month old (I have one in photocopy dated Jan.11th), X-ray lungs and other blood tests is that true? About medication: I'm on Premarin (2,5 mg/day) since 9 days because I was supposed to have HS last Wendsday... I know that usually you go with premarin 21 day and 7 without, but the 7 days stop will be exactly when my HS with dr.Gallinat is scheduled: what do you think? shall I go all the way long with Premarin with interruption?

I was reading how unconfortable is talking about our desease to somebody who don't know about AS.... it is so right! I must add that this is the main reason to be part of this group, because you can have somebody who can understands you. In Italy is very hard to find people, even part of the medical community, who takes care of your illness, at least in my case. You know what they answer me? "You have already one child, what are you looking for?????" But I feel that is up to me to decide about my body!

Love from Ivana
