My goal was 5 pounds, i lost 2 pounds however i lost about 2½ inches off each

thigh! So thats a thumbs up for me!

This month my goal is 4-5 pounds and an inch off my tummy! =)

You have no reason to be discouraged. You have accomplished a lot. It may

have not been easy, but it has been worth it. It is making you a healthier

person. You're doing great. You are an inspiration.

Hi Tootie,

You're doing great. 30 minutes on the treadmill is a lot. You are inspiring

me to dust off my treadmill and get back on it every day. Well, I promise to

start next week. This is going to be a hectic week for me - I'm planning and

preparing for our Secret Pals " Christmas in August " party.

Well I missed my goal, I only lost 2 pounds. But for me the bg numbers are the

most important. They are now withing my normal range 70-125 and holding. I am

now 158 and hope to loose a lot more but put down 3 pounds for August. Remember

I was just diagnosed on June 24th and weighed 169 1/2 then with bg of 475. I

don't think I have done too bad. So am not getting discouraged. Hugs, Helen H.

Hi Eunice! Regarding the weight loss---I didn't do very good---but I'm

still using the treadmill and most days have gone the full 30 minutes, which

is a little over a mile. I may have lost a tiny bit of weight but I've

definitely firmed up. I'm still going to try for a weight loss of 5 lbs for

August, in fact, I'm shooting for 5 lbs each month till the end of the year.

(I'm still stuck on 170 but as you said before, muscle weighs more than fat

and at least I don't " jiggle " when I walk. LOL). My diabetes doctor was

very impressed.

Hi - my goal was to break 160 - I wanted to get to 159 - the ole

psycological figure in my mind. I am sitting on 160 so I didn't make it.

That's OK, I'll make it this month so my goal is to lose 5 lbs - wow, I

would love to be at 155 heading down to 135.

I think my goal was 155. I didn't make it. I am at 160. I have been working

You did great. We want you to put a picture in the Photo files when

you reach 135, which I know that you will do. Keep up the good work.

Hey, that sounds like a fun thing. I can't wait to hear how you're planning

this Secret Pal thingy. :o)

BTW, Do you have any idea how I can get a manual for my Accu Smart ProForm

Crosswalk? I have tried all kinds of things on the internet and still can't

find a thing. I know mine needs some maintenance 'cause It's " hanging up " I

bought some Silicone spray and my grandson " squirted it " but it seems to be

more sluggish than it was before. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi ,

You started out at 161, so you lost one lb this month. This is

great. Hopefully, you'll be able to exercise more this month and

lose even more.

Well, I ended up losing 3 lbs in July even though my commitment was

to maintain my weight loss! Now at 160 and will begin the exercise

program that was abandoned during my vacation! So for the month of

August, I hope to lose 6 lbs, down to 156!

Hmmmm, I seem to weigh more than anybody who's posted so far. I had

started the South Beach diet June 30 with a buddy so didn't post any

specific goals here. I started at 252 and hit 242 by July 30. I guess

I'll go for another 8 lbs by 9/3. When I was first diagnosed I weighed

296. It hasn't always been linear progress for me, but I keep at it.

Working at it with other people is very helpful!

Tootie--

Looking for the manual for your Accu-Smart Proform crosswalker thing, well,

if you can get the 1-800 number the companies are usually pretty good about

replacing things like that. It is better to speak to an actual person than

sending emails and such. Talking to a " real " person you get results

immediately.

You have not been the highest weight on the list. That is me at 262. I did

my weight privately with Eucnice because I am so ashamed of myself for getting

this out of control. I will openly admit that I did not lose anything during

July but didn't gain anything either. I guess that is a good thing. I will

try for 5lbs in August. I told Eunice 10lbs, but I think I had better be

I was 176 when we started this and I wanted to lose 4 pounds I think

.....however, when I weighed this morning I was up a pound and a

half ! But I am not too mad at myself as I had gained 3.5 lbs on

vacation the week of the 21st, so that means I lost two pounds the

next week and a half ! :)

are up there close to each other, won't it be nice to see 199.99999?

Gal, you are not even CLOSE. MY top weight was 378... I am 327 now... so

consider yourself skinny. :)

And you are down to 220 if I remember correctly? Way to go! Keep up

hey, good idea about the measurement comparison. I don't know what my

measurements were " before " but now that my weight is getting " down " I may

actually take them and compare them each month. Thanks for the idea

I thought about ignoring this e-mail since I did nothing to lose

weight in July. I was at 146 at the last " weigh-in. " I have been

fluctuating between 145 and 147 since then. Of course, today I was

at the high of 147 (whose idea was it to record this on a Monday?)

I have not done any exercise. That will be and has always been the

key for me. My weight loss goal for August will be 4 pounds - or to

get to 143. We'll see. I packed a gym bag this morning but I never

go at night. So maybe I'll try for the morning instead. Once I get

started I'll be fine - getting started is the hardest part. One

good thing is I'm going on vacation from August 14-19. I always

walk a lot so hopefully I'll lose some on that trip.
