Guest guest
Pam, Other than this April tidbit in Rueters, I've heard nothing about ny Cash and SDS/MSA: Despite battling with Shy-Drager Syndrome, a degenerative nerve disease, 68-year-old Cash appears to be busier than Tarantino. He is currently working on an album scheduled for the summer, his first since 1998's country album Grammy-winner ''Unchained.'' He was in the hospital for 2 weeks last October with pneumonia. He announced he had SDS in October 1997 and has been in and out of the hospital several times usually with pneumonia since. Take care, Bill and Charlotte Pam Bower wrote: > I'm reposting this for the benefit of our more recently subscribed > members. Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I know that this will sound " Hokey " but I have had information, from a source that I must keep confidential, that ny Cash does NOT have SDS. He suffers from a type of Diabetes that when left untreated presents many of the symptoms of SDS. He is now under treatment and from what I see on the " ny Cash " website, is going great guns! He has made several personal appearances and performances in the last few months and is indeed planning a new album. Just thought you'd like to know. Guest guest
Don, I had heard that a few months ago but the source was either the National Enquirer or the Star (both tabloids). I searched several websites including " The Official ny Cash Website " and found nothing about the diabetes thing. Reuters reported him having pneumonia last October and again that he came out about two weeks later. His website mentioned a new album, but it is a collection of existing songs and the appearances it mentioned are all June Cash. I hope they can find something to help him, but I think it would be news if they actually did find it was a mistake (like Momma Judd). Guest guest
Hi Don, I remember someone posting a news report from what looked like a local paper a few months ago saying he was misdiagnosed but I never saw a followup nationally so didn't know whether to believe it or not. I think that's certainly great news that he has an ailment that can be treated!!!!! Tell your source we are all happy for ny! Guest guest
Bill, What's the " Momma Judd " thing about? Are you talking about Naomi Judd. She had the same thing as my mom and was waiting for a liver and I thought I had heard that she got one. Funny how money talks though, according to how I ever saw her she never looked as sick as my mom. Love, Prayers and E-hugs, (((( )))) Bushnell :-) Re: ny Cash and Shy-Drager/MSA > > > > > Pam, > > > > > > Other than this April tidbit in Rueters, I've heard nothing about ny > > Cash > > > and SDS/MSA: > > > > > > Despite battling with Shy-Drager Syndrome, a degenerative nerve disease, > > > 68-year-old Cash appears to be busier than Tarantino. Guest guest
Curious, diabetes is certainly bad enough but this thought still might give hope to some of us. How is it that one could have diabetes and not know it? I am sure he has the money and doctors to have had all kinds of tests. Is this not one of first things one should be checked for? At least, often diabetes can be treated. Why would someone say he had neurological disorder when he has diabetes? Thanks, Donna Re: ny Cash and Shy-Drager/MSA Hi Everyone, I know that this will sound " Hokey " but I have had information, from a source that I must keep confidential, that ny Cash does NOT have SDS.
