Guest guest
Good morning, Shell, I understand about the hunger thing. I am doing pretty well on the Winning Points plan with Weight Watchers. I love the zero point soup I make. If I am feeling hungry I have some to tide me over. I find it filling for a while and it is usually long enough for me to get past that hump. My mother-in-law just started W.W. with me but, she has been following her doctor's advice to stick to so many calories and fat grams a day and from June to the second week of October lost 28 lb. She has stalled on the weight loss. Following her doctors plan she does not get the base points for the day for her weight. She is only losing less than a half pound a week. Try eating veggies that W.W. says are zero points. Broccoli, carrots(raw),cauliflower, cabbage, celery, tomatoes and so many others. I make this omelet with one whole egg and three egg whites, mushrooms, onion, bell pepper, zucchini and tomato. It is only three points and I rarely finish it. No carbs, little fat and filling. It works for me. If you want any info from W.W. I could fax you some. Let me know. Good luck. Congrats to all who have had surgery! Take care and God bless! Guest guest
I am almost there. I am presently at 98.1 weight loss. My weight is now at 259.6. I haven't been at this weight in at least 20 years. I was so estatic about the proximity to the 100 pound mark that I had to share the news with everyone. I am so greatful for all the support that I have gotten from this group and Kaiser. Pat you have such great advice and I ahve taken so much of what you have said and applied it and it has helped me immensely. Shell, I miss seeing your emails and yes girlfriend we are still running neck and neck along with Elaina. What is totally awesome is that I can now wear clothes that Elaina whas been giving me. For all of you that are on your journeys to get to the other side hang in there and follow the program. Always ask questions when you get stuck on that plateau and You will have great sucess. Guest guest
Shell It is at 9:30. I don't think I am going to be able to make it. I was hoping to but I don't have a car tomorrow. I don't know the train very well either and I might end up In San Francisco instead of South San Francisco. Hey that might not be such a bad Idea. Well I will have to figure that one out. Is theree anyone that lives near Sunnyvale that can pick me up? Ramona

Guest guest
Hi, I have lost a little over a hundred and so far ir doesn't lok too bad. I do exercise everyday and at night I rub my skin with a mosturizer. I have heard that it is good to do when you are losing weight. I am still not sure what the end results will be yet because I still have another 50 pounds I would like to lose. I will let you know as I progress to my goal. Ramona 1/13/2003 357.7/256/? Guest guest
I have lost 180 lbs. Everyone is different as to how much excess skin there is left over. It depends on many things--age, activity, genetics, where you carried your weight while obese, pregnancies, etc. Some things we can control and some things we can't. Although exercise and building muscle does help somewhat, there is a point when the only real way to eliminate the excess skin is through surgery. You have to decide what you want. For me, my arms, thighs, tummy and breasts are left very flabby and saggy. I work out alot and have some great muscle tone however that is not enough for the amount of skin that got stretched with my weight. I definitely want to have a tummy tuck and am considering breast work. Although I am not all that happy with my arms and thighs, for me it is not important enough to have two additional surgeries to fix. Guest guest
Hi , Well it seems to be firming up. But if I lose 5 pounds in a week then it feels kind of loose. That is when I am glad that I have reached another plateau so that my body can adjust. I know that it is adjusting because when I experience a weight lose and I am in the pool I feel like my skin is very jiggly. Then after a bit it feels fine again. I don't know what it will be like after Lose more weight but I am really now sure if I would want to go through plastic surgery. I just have this thing about hospitals lately. Yesterday I had an experience with food getting stuck in my tummy and I ended up in the ER. I am not sure really what happened but I felt like I had swallowed a bowling ball all of a sudden. I waited a couple of hours to see if it would subside and Then I drank a small drink of water and it came back up within 2 minutes. That went on for a few hours and I called Kaiser. Unfortunately I had no car at the time otherwise I would have driven to SSF. When I talked to the advise nurse she was concerned enough to want to call 911. Well, that scared me to no ends. I called just about everyone I knew around here and just my luck no one was home. I finally called my sister again and got her. She is so sweet she took me to the Santa Clara ER and they were really great there. I didn't have to wait very long. I got hooked up to and IV and got something for the nausea. I saw so many doc's there and they were all great. I had some x-rays taken and the surgeon on call said that there is a slight possibility that I have developed some scar tissue that may be causing a narrowing in the stomach. Well, This saga in the hospital started at 6:30 PM and finished at 3:30 AM. What a night! I have an appointment with DR Legha next week even though they said within 2 days so meantime i am going to be careful what i eat cause that is one thing I do not want to go through anytime soon Ramona
Guest guest
Ramona, But how does it look so far? Do you have a lot of extra skin or is it firming up? Curious, RevenStampin' Up!
