7 week slump

Glad to hear you had a good check-up Walter, and that things are going well. I feel like I've hit a slump in my progress. It's been 7 weeks now, and I'm supposed to be walking without any canes, but I still limp pretty badly and have some pain both in the outside of the thigh and a dull ache in the groin, mainly after my walk or when I've been up and about and then sit down. Also my lower back tightens up when I'm on my feet for very long and really hurts. I've been walking a mile and a half almost every day and doing the exercises the physios gave me in the hospital. It's frustrating not being able to see Treacy and ask his opinion. I could go to another orthopedist who said he would do follow up for me, but am a little leary. I guess I'm afraid he'll start giving me horror stories about surface replacements. I've decided to start physical therapy, so hopefully that will help. Can anybody give me feedback on what 7 weeks out was like? Am I slow or just being impatient?

Are you walking without any canes now, Walter? How does it feel? I have e-mailed Treacy but haven't heard back yet.
