Weight Loss Commitment

Twenty-one ladies have made a commitment to this group, but most important to

themselves, to lose weight.

Each of you have set realistic goals. I believe you can meet them.

I will be keeping a chart, listing each name, your weight in July and your

predicted weight for Aug. Each month, your predicted weight for the next month

will be added. This chart is set up to be used through July 2004. Once it is

completed, it will be sent to each participant (for framing or whatever you

want to do with it.) LOL

If anyone else is interested in making this commitment, please post your

weight and how much you would like to lose by the first week in Aug.

Well, I think I was 329 and now I am 325 so I didn't lose all that I wanted

to but this month was my birthday and I have celebrated some. :) I should

have taken that into account when I set my goal for 9 pounds. I am tickled to

death that I am continuing to go in the right direction. My goal in August is

to lose weight as a result of staying on my food plan each day and exercising

some each day. I'm not going to commit to setting a goal in pounds because it

kept me obsessed with the scale all month and even though I want to be a part

of this accountability with you guys, I am going to commit to eating my

diabetic food plan each day and also exercise. Whatever I lose, I will be

happy.

Lorna--I feel the same way about my weight. I am still ashamed of myself but

knowing that I am not alone helps a whole lot. Let's stick together for

better us!!!

Dear Group

I'm typing from a friend's computer. We are still on holiday. My

weight now is 190 pounds. I have lost 2 pounds this month. My goal

is to lose another 2 pounds in August and start losing a bit more in

September. Since being diagnosed with Diabetes in March of 2002 I

have lost 80 pounds and have 40 to 50 pounds to go. I hope to be

down to my healthy weight by this time next year. I am glad to have

a chance to be public about what I weigh. Because my size has always

been a source of shame for me. Being up front about it lifts a

guilt weight off my shoulders and helps me stay on track. Thanks

That's good. Let's see, the 4lbs I've gain this month and then the 5

I've committed to losing, that's only a lb a day for the next 9

days! Lol, just kidding, if I've gained, I've gained, there's always

SEPTEMBER!!!

Thanks I will send in my weight now and then in September but first

I got to find out what it is I thinks its around 185 I would like to get

down to around 165 Thanks for including me

I don't post offen but I would like to commit to the weight loss. Since I was

diagnosed two yrs ago I have managed to lose 72 lbs. I have been on a stand

still for awhile now but I still could lost about another 30 lbs.

Hi all--

Well I didn't do so well with my weight loss goal. I actually gained two

pounds. I am really upset about it, but will strive to do better this month. I

will aim for 5 pounds for September.

I thought I missed this post. I just replied to someone else but to

reply directly to you.

Weight today: 143.5 (use 144 if you are only using whole nos.)

Goal for September: -6 pounds or 138.
