Guest guest
J, I do know you have to wait 6 months after surgery to give blood and if your hemoglobin is not 13 or above they will boot you out:) From reading I would say that we do not need any blood during surgery, so I do not think that would be a problem! Guest guest
Hi, Iron deficiency is very common in gastric bypass patients. I am now recommending iron, vitamin A and Zinc. In addition it is a good idea to beware of Helicobacter Pylori as treatment of H. Pylori can improve iron levels. See the web site and search under iron deficiency for more information. Guest guest
Dr R., I came across something interesting on a web-site tonight. It was on a soy info web-site.It said that soy cuts down the acid in the stomach, would this help those who are having ulceration problems?? Just a thought, I wish I had thought of sending you the web page. Your post is what joggled my memory. Hope it is helpful!
