Pam,

Can you give me some information on IVF? Any info on cost, procedures, how

it's done, meds, etc..... I may have to go this route too so I'd like t

know in advance. Does it take a lot of time and preparation? I have so many

questions so if you could fill me in I would appreciate it.

Thank you.

Sharon

Hi Sharon,

Do you work with an RE? I had to have some prep time for b/w. Like

HIV, Hepatitis. Does your insurance cover anything? Our out of pocket

costs will be $7500.00. Our insurance covers meds. We also had to go

to an IVF class at our dr office. We also have to meet with a

therapist. On day 20 of your cycle you start Lupron. Then you are

monitored to start the stimulation drugs. They do regular b/w and u/s

to see your follicles and and estrogen levels. Then you have a HCG

shot to mature the eggs. 36 hours later they retrieve the eggs,

fertilize them and then put them back in 3 days later. If you have

more questions that I didn't answer feel free to ask or e-mail me at

home. giguerepw@....
