Guest guest
> I have recurring PID's (possibly endo) and some days it causes a lot of pain > for me Katrina~ I have endometriosis... I have tried a lot of different therapies for it. Lupron injection... It shuts down your reproductive system for 6 months to " jump start " it.( that gave me about 9 months pain free) I have had laser surgery to remove scar tissue( that gave me about 13 months pain free), and most recently I opted to have a partial hysterectomy. All the therapies worked for a short time. The partial hysterectomy was last November and I have been pain free since. The doctor suggested a full hysterectomy, but I will only be 26 y/o in December, I wanted to wait a while longer keep my hormones intact for sanitys sake. If you need any info on endo, or support let me know. :) Amy mom to Noah 6 Lucas 8 ASD's
Guest guest
Amy - Thanks for letting me know. At this point we are assuming it's Endo because of the symptoms but I've never had a Lap to see for sure. The pain hasn't been unbearable for a long time so I'm lucky. While I am uncomfortable a lot - I can live with that. I am on birth control pills which did seem to help for a long time --- but recently I've noticed the pain hanging around a little more often -- again not unbearable...just uncomfortable. I've been hospitalized on IV Antibiotics twice because of PID's and after that is when they started thinking I might have Endo. I'm sure you remember some of the " side effects " including pain during, well, intimate moments. And sometimes the pain does hit me hard and I have to lay down or sit down for a while. It sucks when your body doesn't want to work with you. Guest guest
I've had endo all my adult life too. NO fun... but natural childbirth didn't seem all that bad to me after Endo! Anyway, I've had a laporoscopy for it which is what ended up paving the way for me to get pregnant with my one and only.... Otherwise I've been successful having it treated with homeopathy. (pain wise anyway) Just thought I'd share that FWIW. ~ Karin Amy wrote: > > > I have recurring PID's (possibly endo) and some days it causes a > lot of pain > > for me > > Katrina~ I have endometriosis... Guest guest
That was something I could have added --- my endo pain at it's worse doesn't compare to childbirth - it far surpasses it! UGH! Thank God I haven't had it as badly in a while. Katrina Re: Re: OT - depressed, /Katrina I've had endo all my adult life too. Guest guest
> I've had endo all my adult life too. NO fun... but natural > childbirth didn't seem all that bad to me after Endo! I suffered with endo from 16 - 26. I'd read in books that sometimes it spontaneously 'cleared up' during and after a pregnancy, like pregnancy was a cure. I thought that was bullshit. But in my case, pregnancy DID cure it. And thank god for that. I really empathize with you gals; the kind of pain involved in that is excrutiating. Sorry the pregnancy 'cure' didn't work for you. :-( Jacquie -who lives in fear of the night that pain comes back again.

It would get progressivly worse during my cycle. I have a very severe case of Endo. When I had my partial hysterectomy, the doctor also found fibroids. The hysterectomy was the best decision I have ever made. Amy mom to Noah 6 Lucas 8 Asd;s
Guest guest
For me it was really bad cramps that sometimes would just be one long continuous cramp. (Imagine a really strong labor contraction that just never goes away) I usually feel it on day 2-4 of my period. I also feel it in my lower back because I have a slightly retroverted uterus. One of my ovaries gives me more trouble than the other and when I ovulate out of that side, the pain gets really bad in that ovary for about 14 hours. Pregnancy didn't cure me, but it's not as bad as when I was younger. Now I'm able to use heating pads, Tylenol P.M. or I just drink enough wine until I don't care anymore. LOL... ~ Karin Penny wrote: > What is the pain like in endometriosis? > > I'm wondering if what I'm experiencing is this instead of fibroids? > > Penny

I used to take Davocet and prox together just so I could stand up and function on just that one day. Thank goodness it didn't come back after having !
