Guest guest
How horrible! And that's exactly why I had such a hard time deciding if should ride the bus as much as he loves buses. We finally let him try yesterday and everything seemed to go smooth, but what I did was put on the form that he is not allowed to be dropped off anywhere unless a parent is there to meet him. You ought to check and see if you can do that as well. Makes me feel a little better. I'd give them a mouth full!! Merritt 2-Star Consultant Southern Living At HOME www.southernlivingathome.com/heathermerritt The bus horror Good morning all. Well day 2 of school HAS to be better than day one. Long story short, the bus co gave the school the wrong info, and my kids were put on a bus that didn't come near my house. We were told the driver would bring them home. He dropped them off blocks away..and over a busy street. Totally irresponsible, even if you don't know anything about mitchel, he's still just 6 and shouldn't be walking around by himself. But my dh went to the bus co and TOLD them he was autistic. I'm making a pleasant phone call to the bus co this am. Thankfully was there and got them home. Mitchel - if alone - wouldn't have had a clue where to go!!I cringe every time I think of it. I was furious. I went to the school when I found out and talked with the principle, he was stunned as well - he was calling the bus co last night. I even saw the info the bus co gave the school, the bus they listed never went near my house. Kerri

That is way to scary!!! I hope the principal gets em good and this doesn't happen again. Amie The bus horror Good morning all. Well day 2 of school HAS to be better than day one. Guest guest
Yea - I knew you'd all get it! Today I am really nervous over the whole thing. I did talk to the Bus co, and I talked to both the receptionist and the manager - who were both there and spoke with when he was there. They were both under the impression the kids were dropped off at home. It was very hard to get too angry with the manager because he was totally agreeing with me as well. I explained that last night I wanted the driver killed but that today I'd settle for a little less. He was going to speak with the driver who was out on another route and call me back. I am awaiting his call. I do expect something to be done - this is just way to irresponsible. Kerri
Guest guest
Let us know what happens, Kerri... as with the school district, I'm sure the bus company people take care of their own... skeptical and hoping you get a satisfactory answer...
