Guest guest
rheum visit today, 4 autoimmunes and i " need nothing for inflammation " according to her, blew my mind, with all this fatigue, which i can tell is inflammatory because i told her pred helps. and " no,biologics are not used for what i have " , ok, then what is? nothing was said or given.i can't understand why docs aren't regulated more and licenses revoked when neglect like this goes on.sorry so strong, venting i guess, is all i can do. anyone in michigan have a good one, email me directly. take care and thanks, margaret
Guest guest
Wow, Margaret - I'm sorry to hear your Rheumy visit did not go well. What are the 4 Auto-immunes that you have? Have you considered finding a new Rheumy? Praying you find someone who really cares about their patients and will spend the time you need explaining their diagnosis and treatment plan (or non-plan). Remember WE pay THEM (whether self-pay or through insurance). I think its high time patients started standing up for THEIR rights, stop letting these doctors intimidate and demand a reasonable explanation - even if it means explaining why treatment is " not needed " . Vent away anytime, dear one. That's what we're all here for. Let us know what you decide.....Doreen rheum visit today, 4 autoimmunes and i " need nothing for inflammation " according to her, blew my mind, with all this fatigue, which i can tell is inflammatory because i told her pred helps. and " no,biologics are not used for what i have " , ok, then what is? nothing was said or given.i can't understand why docs aren't regulated more and licenses revoked when neglect like this goes on.sorry so strong, venting i guess, is all i can do. anyone in michigan have a good one, email me directly. take care and thanks, margaret

Guest guest
thanks doreen, i do not have ra (yet, knock on my wooden head). hashimotos, sjogrens, psoriasis(not psor ra,yet),vitiligo...but lots of inflammation. rheum explained biologics are only rxd for ra,ao,couple more, that's it. does make some sense, but it is getting harder to function with all this inflammatory fatigue. she did give me maintenance dose of pred, temp, only, to wean off.it's not helping at all, and getting it was a fight. yes, i made an apt with a new rheum, the one monique posted his website.he is 35 min from me, i will try him. his phone answerer was not too pleasant, but i was impressed with his site and will read his book. i do agree with you about docs working for us, etc, and believe me, i bite my tongue, almost in half, when i talk to most docs, all specialities and pcp's, really. and i have seen probably more than 25...on my 4th rheum now. thanks for reading, take care, margaret > > Wow, Margaret - I'm sorry to hear your Rheumy visit did not go well.
