I read your post and I am also from Minnesota but I am going to North Carolina to have the MGB by Dr. Rutledge. My surgery is July 26th. I have only been in contact with one other person in all of the MGB lists and the ones on onelist for OSSG, (Obesity Surgery Support Group) from Minnesota and she is having her surgery here in Minnesota as well. I wanted a less invasive procedure than what I have found offered here in Minnesota. So many people have sung such high praises about Dr. Rutledge that they sold my Dr. and me on him and his procedure. Since my Dr. is associated with Mayo Clinic this may open a whole new avenue for Dr. Rutledge and his procedure as they think the only way to go is the open RNY surgery.
