Guest guest
Dawn, I am so sorry to hear about your loss! I too had a difficult time with my pregnancies, losing the first one, and on complete bedrest with the second, also delivering at 34 weeks. My daughter is also doing wonderful though. Well, I can't exactly answer your questions, but tell you that I know others with PSC have had good results. ( in this group just had a baby with no problems other than nausea I believe a few months ago.) I didn't have any nausea at all, but I have had friends who have had HG, and it is horrible. My dauaghter's dance instructor has it now and she is on Zofran, several a day, to keep her weight up and to keep from throwing up. She is doing well. I am jsut curious if the dr's tried that with you. I have also taken that when I've had cholangitis attacks to fight the nausea, and it works great. I am interested in having another baby, although my husband is terrified of the thought. He is so scared to have something happen to me or the baby again. I wish you all the luck in the world, and I hope that you get some answers. Please share all that you learn with us. I would love to hear what your dr. has to say. It may be of benefit to me and others considering pregnancy with PSC. There is so little known about what could happen at this time. Oh, one other thing. My hepatologist suggested that I do an ERCP about a month before I was to get pregnant. (I would have to do in-vitro again, so we would be able to do it at the exact month before.) He thought that having everything all cleared out of my bile duct would possible keep a cholangitis attack away for the duration of the pregnancy. If you should want to correspond to ask more questions, or to let me know what you find out privately, my email is jcram444@.... Good luck!!!
