Guest guest
, Congratulations on your pregnancy! The numbers sound great! Rule of thumb is that they should double every 48-72 hours and yours have more than done that... As far as the u/s, I am sure they will shoe you your little one when you do it... But it wouldn't hurt to ask the dr. I have never heard of them not being allowed to show your little one, just that they can't give you alot of information without speaking to the radiologist... Heartbeat, head and body, and stuff like that- yeah... I know it seems like forever, but I think it is good that your dr wants to wait until the end of next week to do your u/s. It gives you more time to get to where the baby can actually be seen... Instead of being too early and you getting even more worried, and it being over nothing... Does that make sense? Well, keep us updated!!! Amy (A.)
Guest guest
M, Congratulations!! You made it over the first hurdle, conceiving again after the EP, and I cannot imagine the fears you must have wondering if your little one has found the right place to his/her home for the next 9 months. I am not expert on numbers, but I do know they are supposed to be doubling and it looks like your are. I also understand about wanting the u/s picture. People have aaa hard time understanding with EP that you lose your " baby, " and have all the emotions and grief associated with that tremendous loss. So it makes since to want to have something tangible to show that there was really was a little life there. Maybe you want it for different reasons, but that's the way I feel. I will keep you in my prayers. Dana
Guest guest
, ((hugs)). How frightening this all must be for ! Please know that you, your dh, and your baby all all in my prayers. With all of my ep I was not able to see the pregenancy, something I feel very sad about. I think you wanting a visual look at your baby is perfectly natural. Regarding yout HCG levels. There is a site called Parentsplace.com that gives waht average Hcg levels usually are throughout the first trimester. They stress that these are average and every pg can differ. What they really look for is doubling every 48 hours for the first two months after conception. I hope this helps a little Weeks after conception/ HCG Levels 0-1 week 0-50 iu/l 1-2 weeks 40-300 iu/l 3-4 weeks 500-6,000 iu/l 1-2 mo 5,000-200,000 2-3 mo 10,000-100,000 After this they begin to drop. Hang in there!! ++thoughts to you. - > Hello All, > It has been quite a long time since I have posted, and I am sorry for that, but I have been trying to keep up reading all of the posts. My dh and I found out last Wednesday that I am pg. We had been trying to conceive for around four months. We are just exstatic to be pg but I am also terrified. Everytime I feel any sort of cramp I panic that there is something wrong with the baby. We went to the doctor last Friday to confirm the pg and also to start the process of making sure that the baby is not in the tube. On Friday I had an u/s and they couldn't find the baby. My doctor said to expect that because it was too soon, but it was still hard. They did say that it looked like my uterine wall was thickening which they say is a good thing. Since the u/s I have been going for hCG testing every other day. My first test was 172 and the second was 581. I haven't gotten any of the other results yet but plan to get them tomorrow when I go back to my doctor. > When I spoke to my doctor this week he told me that they aren't going to do another u/s until the end of next week. I just don't know if I can deal with this fear for that long. I am trying to keep it under control and I knew that it would be hard but I didn't know it would be this hard. I am hoping that someone will have some advice for me to help the next week pass. And if anyone has any info on these numbers I would appreciate it. > One thing I have decided to do is to ask my doctor if when he orders the u/s he puts on the order that they are to show me the baby. I'm not sure if they can do this, but I really want to see the baby. With my ep I heard the baby's heartbeat but never got to see him. If the technician can't tell me where the baby is that's ok I just want the chance to look at him in case the baby is ectopic and we lose him. For anyone that feels the same way, I was able to get a copy of the films from my last u/s so we do have some pictures of our Angel. > Thanks to everyone who listened. > M. > Mother to > Carson 8/14/98 > Angel 4/17/00 (ep) > > >
Guest guest
, Hi... I understand what you must be feeling right now. How far along were you when you had the u/s? I had one a 4wks 3days and my RE was very strongly telling me that there was a good possibility that that was too soon... He said that you can't usually see anything until your Beta HCG was around 2000 or 3000. Your beta went up so nicely! That's a terrific sign! Once it is at or around those numbers, I'd call the office and demand another U/S... I hate to say this, but going through what we all have, I'd say just about anything to get in to have an u/s... Tell them that you are having cramps or pain or anything - Just get in, you won't rest until you do! Best of luck to you!

Guest guest
First of all, Congratulations! And second of all, I can only imagine how stressful it is to wait and see the baby in utero after an ep, but my heart goes out to you. I hope you're doing ok and that soon you will be able to be excited about your pg. Dominique
