Since I was in the clinic today and talked to Dr. Gallinat twice about the

surgeries, I took the advantage to ask him about endometrium " behind " scar

tissue. He said that normally there would be no " trapped " endometrium

because scar tissues form where endometrium has been taken away. But in

rare cases there is a little pouch (right word?) behind the tissue where

endometrium can be found.

He also said that no one knows why scars reform.

I told him about our A- and B-list and he was surprised to hear it. I

wanted him to realize that patients do actually rate doctors themselves.

Then I asked him for any other docs again but he didn´t know of more than

the ones we have already. There is no one in Africa whom he knows of.

Instead he told me of a few cases he reviewed where women had undergone

surgery in Africa before going to Hamburg (non AS cases), and there organs

were in a terrible state without the hope of ever conceiving again ...

When we were in the waiting room today we saw a mother and her teenage

daughter having an argument and then the mother slapped her daughter in her

face (!) and went away. The poor girl started crying but was immediately

looked after by the nurses. She then had surgery with Dr. Gallinat and when

I saw here when getting ready I told her that he is supposed to be a very

good surgeon and she should not worry about the surgery (whatever she asked

him to do ...). As mentioned later part of my heart was saying: " If it

is an abortion you are about to do, don´t do it, let the baby be adopted by

one of our members! "

Dr. Gallinat said that he will meet the other specialists in November, so

obviously there is an important conference each year in November.

And he is going to hold a speech at the Royal hospital in London in May

about the ablation of endometrium (so to speak, how to produce Ashermans ...).

Can´t think of any more, Corinna
