Hi ,

I too have had normal CT's and normal sono's. My enzymes are always

elevated, sometimes terribly elevated and this is how my Drs. know I have the

pancreatitis. At one time they thought it was my triglycerides, but I have

never had abnormal triglycerides. The times that I had abnormal CT and

sonogram I didn't feel that bad but eventually got worse. There were many

times I got frustrated and did not seek treatment for a year or more and when

I did I was very ill. One thing I have learned is that the frustration will

come and go but make sure you keep in touch with your dr. because you know

your body better than he/she does. It only causes more problems when you

don't seek medical attention when needed.

I frequently take a list of questions into the doctor and even hand them to

the doctor to answer for me. This is especially important if your are having

to take pain meds. It is also a good idea to take someone with you who is

more assertive if you can't bring yourself to do it. Lists have become my

friend.

Marie and ,

I've always had problems with depression, however with having to deal with

this disease and all the multitude of problems, my depression really got bad.

I think I just gave in to the frustration as well and at some point almost

gave up. It has helped to hear others struggling with the same issues and

that they are getting through it. Any other suggestions on how to deal with

the depression as well as how this has all affected my family as well?

Dear Sandy,

I am now taking Prozac. I started taking it again to prevent migraines

but I think (and so does my MD) that I needed it for the depression too. Are

you taking anything?

I have to run but I will write more later. Take care.

I took Prozac for a couple of years and I've tried being off of it now for a

couple of months. Sometimes I think things are going well, then other times

I'm really weepy for no real reason. My life has been so stressful for so

long that now that some of the stress is easing up I am wanting to try to get

off of some of the meds that I have had to take. I feel like I should raddle

when I walk.
