Guest guest
To the people complaining about LaPorte Ems' posts, You people need to ask yourself a queston,...Do I have a life?? I mean come on! Is your life so busy that taking that one second to delete the reposts will slow you down? I joined this list to learn from my peers, but so far all I have seen are whining, gossiping, and jaberjawin' Ems folk. I am thoroughly disgusted. I wish this list would go back to people posting challenging ideas, calls, and other informative issues. And if deleting a post is killing you, maybe you need an assistant to delete them and assist you in carting around your enormous head. Thanks, Troy Beasley Paramedic-/-ETTD (Extra time to Delete)
Guest guest
Mr. Beasley, You don't like that I don't like SPAM. Sorry, but I don't care what you don't like. This is your first and only contribution to this list (under this name) that I can find. What did it contribute? Sorry if you don't like it, but SPAM is SPAM, regardless if it is targeted or not. Why don't both you and LPEMS find something worthwhile to post? Larry > To the people complaining about LaPorte Ems' posts, > > You people need to ask yourself a queston,...Do I have a life?? Guest guest
Larry, You sir exemplify what I was getting at. Have you contacted LPEMS to figure out WHY they are posting so much? Or do you just run your mouth complaining about something and then not do anything about it? I'm glad you care less what upsets me, I have this right to say what I feel without the concern of if it annoys you. I think its called the First Amendment? Thank you for proving me right. This is all Ill say about this because I do not wish to clutter the board. So REPLY AWAY!! We all know you will. Guest guest
Mr. Beasley, That makes two posts for you. Neither one makes any sense. You're on a roll. It is nice to be an example to someone for something. It is neither my responsibility nor my desire to contact LaPorte EMS to decypher their intentions. My mouth runs of it's own accord, without any help from anyone. Free speach, 1st amendment - you know the drill. I never said I cared less about you. I do care about you. Do you need a hug? Even you don't know what you are getting at. Please explain, why do you have the right to " say what I feel " , but I don't? First ammendment apply to you, but nobody else? I am neither annoyed nor concerned, I am amused. If you didn't wish to clutter the " board " , you wouldn't have posted message one. You are proven right only in your own mind. Is my mouth the only one running? Who is " we " ? Perhaps you should have stayed on AOL. It seems more your level. Larry > Larry, > You sir exemplify what I was getting at. Guest guest
You certainly are entitled to your opinion and I respect it. I guess my real point was in light of other non essential stuff on the list lately, posting of jobs was more relevant to the list. I realize that it may have been posted a few to many times in a short time period. What disturbs me the most is the attitude that has developed on the list where everyone is overly critical about just about anything. Henry " L. Guest guest
I agree with you Henry. There are enough things to be concerned about in EMS without whining and moaning about e-mails. I have had fair luck with hiring employees off of postings on this server. Guest guest
I HAVE to jump in here. Maybe I am wrong, but my understanding of the purposes of a list like this is to give us all the opportunities to network and resource together as well as help each other. Part of networking and resourcing is to post available opportunities for folks out there who might need them - these might include postings of educational opportunities, training sessions, jobs, etc. I have noticed that folks posting this sort of stuff (including myself) are usually good about giving the e-mail a title regarding the contents of the mail - like job opportunity, of hiring paramedics, or the name of the courses available, or whatever. That is to give folks who are NOT interested in that topic the opportunity to use their delete keys and not read the mail. I have had some luck by posting in this way and have also had folks see my posts and call and ask networking and resource questions about how we are doing things here regarding personnel issues and such. Believe it or not, folks, THAT is part of what this list should be about. So I personally will continue to use this list as others should for this as one of the many things I get from it. I will be courteous and entitle my e-mails accordingly, as I have done in the past, but I will NOT refrain from trying to locate resources or to publish available opportunities on here for folks who want and need to know. If this offends you, I am truly sorry. However, I will not back down and others who are using the list appropriately shouldn't either. I agree that spamming from sales reps and such is irritating on a list like this. But I do not consider these types of things being discussed as " spamming " . Sharing information and looking for students and employees SHOULD be part of our discusssions - so that the list can serve one of many needs for the EMS community.
