Guest guest
According to Freeman, too high a fluid intake dilutes the sodium levels in the blood. It is that which they think can cause more seizures in some. The water does not affect the blood ketone levels, although urine ketones may seem weaker. Guest guest
Interesting.... So has anyone tried adding sodium to the diet? Guest guest
Well, I don't know that this is why, but the naturopath we're working with has had me add a trace amount of sea salt to 's diet.--D --- Diller wrote: > Interesting.... Guest guest
I use lite salt, and have added a trace to s 'meat' for taste, however, I like the idea of the sea salt better D. I have only started this in the last couple of months (and it is now winter), but it will be interesting to see how it goes in summer as 's sz were definitely worse in the hot weather when she was losing a lot of fluid in perspiration. ( We are in Australia and our summers are very hot.
