Guest guest
I posted an email the other day and have been trying to follow the board but I find myself reading the same messages over & over. Now I know I have a lot of problems but I didn't think seeing double was one of them. LOL Hope you find the humor in this, but I really have never been on a list/board before and I'm wondering if there is someone who could help me figure out the problem, thanks. I'm so excited for many of you who are going in next month and wonder how long it will be before I can feel the same feelings. I wonder if someone could tell me if there is a place on here for me to send a letter that would tell all about myself and how I got to this point without putting it here and making everyone read it. I'm sure there are people who would like to know more about me, and I REALLY want to learn all about you. One more thing before I close, have any of you discussed selling your clothes as you lose? I am almost out of size 28 clothes and can't afford to purchase another size to hang in my closet that I won't be able to wear long. It's rare to find plus/superplus size clothes at resale shops or rummage sales. If there is anyone interested in selling me some of there clothes please feel free to contact me. I'd really put the, to good use and may be able to pass them on after I go through my transformation. I hope I haven't broke any rules here. If I have please let me know if there is a rules place I should read. Thanks, sorry for taking so much time to say such a little bit. Guest guest
Sher, This list is not moderated to my knowledge so I don't think you can break any rules. The only things I know of is we try to avoid Fwd's, jokes, flaming, etc. Welcome and I too would be interested in buying used clothes! I am almost out of a 24 now! Yea!!! in AL
Guest guest
Sher: You're posting just fine..If you're subscribed to all of the MGb lists, that may be why you see a lot of the same messages twice because some people do what you call, " cross post " . It shouldn't happen too often, so don't let it confuse you..this list is the best for now to stick with for general info about the MiniGastric Bypass, or " MGB " surgery performed by Rutledge in Durham, NC. The MGB-Friends list is more for the chatty stuff and support and maybe more " off topic " and personal issues to share. MGB-Tech is for specific and techincal operation questions, MGB-post Op is geared to issues and successes POst OPs are having. As tot he clothes thing-try and find out when the next support group is meeting at Durham Regional because we discussed having a clothing exchange during the next meeting for the very reason you mention. Good luck and welcome! Stevie > From: SHERSWAN@... > > I posted an email the other day and have been trying to follow the board but > I find myself reading the same messages over & over. Guest guest
Sher, Your problem may be repetition from replies if you subscribe in digest form. Or sometimes Onelist just hicups and sends out 2 instead of one!! Guest guest
Sher, I don't think you've broken any rules. I've always thought that we should have something so we could all recycle our clothes! It might be a little harder on those of us who live in other states (I'm in FL), but who knows ... good idea, Charmane in Orlando
Guest guest
I don't mean to sound condescending...but in typing its hard to express it right... What about just taking your clothes in? I've yo-yod for eyars nd have had to take in my jeans and blouses. Its really pretty easy. Just a thought.
