Hi Terri,

It's lovely to hear from you again. I live in London, England.

It's quite nice here, although it does tend to rain alot! What's

Johannesburg like? I've never been to South Africa before. I had 2

ultrasound scans, 1 MRI and quite a number of blood tests during the

testing phase. I also have a colonoscopy once every 3 years, and a

hospital appointment and blood test every 3 months. How did you find

the ERCP? I was supposed to have it done, but the doctor wasn't happy

with me having it so gave me an MRI instead, which worked almost as

well.

My friends are better with my PSC now than they were earlier this

year. It took a long time for my classmates to realise just because I

have a disease does not mean it's contagious and they have to avoid

me, and even though I feel tired and dizzy at times it does not mean

I'm incapable of joining in with their ball games. But my closest

friends are very understanding and try not to eat in front of me

during colonoscopy prep, etc. How have your friends been? I hope your

liver biopsy tomorrow goes well. The only biopsy I've had is colon

biopsies (they took ALOT of them during my last colonoscopy). Anyway,

I had better go, I have lots of work to do. Good luck with tomorrow.

Best Wishes,

Alice (15)

Hi alice

How did ya find this group and when?

Well I love south africa. Yesterday the temp was 38 and today it was

raining.

Well my friends are very understanding. There just the occasionally few

people in my year who think it is all in my head, well they use to, not any

more.

I had 2 mri about 6 to 7 ultrasounds,gastroscopy,colonoscopy(how yuk is the

stuff they made ya drink),liver biopsy going for 2 one tomorow and bone

marrow biopsy.3 ct.

An ercp is okah only had one was going to have anohter one but my doctor was

to scared why didnt your doc want to!

Are ya doing exams now. I am missing one tomorow cause I am going in for the

liver thing. And i actually missed all my exams at the end of last year

cause I had a liver biopsy and a ercp.

Which soccer team do you support(english soccer) and well done for the

rugby.

Hope all is well with you!

Speak soon

Alice,

I have a suggestion for you, but doing

it won’t be easy. You will

need a lot of courage.

Here are several suggestions for you - pick

one or all of them.

If you are able to - print out your e-mail to the PSC group

exactly like you wrote it.

Then give it to your parents and ask them to read it.

If nothing happens after they read it, give the e-mail to your

music teacher and ask her to help you. Tell her you love your parents but

they aren’t getting along right now and see if maybe she can help

them.

If that doesn’t work, then please call your Grandma or an

Aunt on the phone and tell her how lonely you are and ask her to come and

pick you up and take you home for a visit – just for the day. I

promise you your family might be mad at your Mom & Dad but probably

aren’t mad at you at all and would love to see you – if only

they knew you missed them.

If none of these things work, please let

us know – we have lots of ways to help you.
