I'm not trying to say that your pancreas is what caused your pain today, but it wouldn't suprise me if it was the pancreas!

Take care,

W

Honestly I think it was. After all these episodes of it this year, I did think it was the same pain. Good news was that my sed rates where all the way down to 26 with the prednisone this past week. That's alot better that 80 the week before! LOL

sugars over this dumb disease which has progressed to Diabetes! Hang

in there and get some rest!

the end though didn't it? I sure wouldn't ever trust her again. I have

had four or five, cant remember for sure, rounds of panreatitis, but I

just got back from the er where I was from nine o'clock this morning until

now, nine at night. The verdict is irritable bowel. weeeee just what I

needed! NOT! Anyway, they gave me some new meds and I am hoping they

work.

a I agree with .

Dr.s tend to believe what is only in black and white. My amylase

and Lipase always come back in normal range now......but we also know the

Pancrease is damaged. Now I have diabetes, which I was warned about.

Hang in there.

C,Not trying to second guess

the docs but I think a lot of times 'irritable bowel' is just a cop out

for when they don't know for sure what's causing the pain. I have

had MANY episodes of the exact same pain, nausea, and vomiting that goes

with my verified attacks of acute panc where my panc enzymes were normal.

The doctors would insist it was this, that, or the other causing my pain.

Couldn't be the pancreas if panc enzymes weren't elevated. Well,

the pain sure felt exactly the same to me! Of course, now that we

know that I have chronic pancreatitis, I know most of those episodes WERE

being caused by my pancreas. My pancreas is DAMAGED. It does

not produce enzymes like a normal pancreas. I can have a very severe

episode with totally normal panc enzymes! Also, many of those episodes

may have been accompanied by an elevated lipase (one of the two panc enzymes)

but they never bothered to check it at my local hospital because it has

to be sent out and takes two days to get back. However, even when

I've been at other hospitals where they did check the lipase along with

the amylase, some of my worst episodes have had both a normal amylase and

lipase. I'm not trying

to say that your pancreas is what caused your pain today, but it wouldn't

suprise me if it was the pancreas! Take

care, W

Poor little ole who???

Re: Barb

Yep, this is the time of year "those" people start rubbing it in! When I got up this morning it was 30 out. They said some places were in the 20's. Next week they are saying we are supposet to be in the 60's. Unfortunatly, that won't last and we will be picked on until they are roasting again! Is she talking about poor little old me? I will have you know that it was like 95 or so today and I got chilly while outside!a C "The LUPIES Store" Come check out our store...http://www.cafepress.com/thelupies"The LUPIES Web Page"http://www.itzarion.com/lupusgroup.html"The LUPIES online photo albums!" I'm glad to hear your feeling better, it's sucks being sick. I'm sure you'll be able to put that walker away real soon.

----- Original

, I sure hope so, but we went to the park yesterday and I guess I overdid it. I feel just fine, but fell three times today. Have some new nasty bruises, but at least the migraine is gone and the new heart meds are working, so I really do think things are looking up!

I know, I was just trying to share how it got chilly here. Seriously though, I just pray that you guys have mild winters. Cool enough so that everyone can go outside, but not so cold that people are hurting. I promise not to rub it in this year, okay? LOL

a C ~ I have given it some sincere thought. I think you should just pound Barb's head if that's what it is going to take. I really like her, but sometimes even the nicest people need an attitude adjustment. Not me though. I have enough attitude, and it is perfectly adjusted.

If you keep landing on the ground you will really be looking up! I'm glad the new meds are helping you so well.

That's true, but we went and changed all of our carpet to ceramic tile last year and boy are my knees sore from smacking down on them! The dr said today that he thinks it's a fact of life for now, but I will take it as long as everything else feels this good!

a B., How about "FRAIN"? A conjunction of Frozen rain. Or, maybe, "SKY FLAKES"? I don't

know, I looked it up in Webster's, and the definition of snow is a "frozen white precipitation". Now,

THAT's helpful. LOL Love, MM
