Guest guest
I found the Vietnam Memorial very touching because of the number of names on the wall. It's incredibly long and a striking memorial to the soldiers who died surving there. What struck me as well is the separate memorial to the women who served in Vietnam. I didn't see any womens names on the wall, but I didn't read all of them. The Korean Memorial was even more impressive in my view because of how they did it with the sculptures of the platoon in the field in front of the wall. Their reflection in the wall and holographic pictures on the wall gave a sense of the men and women who served in a way that the Vietnam Memorial didn't. However, I did see a poster on one of the booths set up by military vets that showed a Vet with his head bowed leaning with one hand on the wall and in the wall company of soldiers with one of their members touching the hand of the live Vet outside the wall. That was very stirring, very emotive. I don't have any information about the half lives of the Naltroxone metabolites. I'm not surprised that there is not an immediate on/off phenomenon with this drug. And I'm not aware if anyone knows why or how it works. There are some theories about this, but nothing proven. So I'm not sure if metabolites have anything to do with it or whether the drug blocks certain receptors and the wear-off phenomenon just takes some time for the receptors to become available to whatever causes the itch to begin again. -- Aubrey MD, PSC 1981, Psoriatic Arthritis 1986, UC 1991, LTX 10/5/
