Guest guest
Is anyone familiar with intravenous immunoglobulin? (IVIG). Our DAN! doctor says he has seen great results with it. Does anyone have any experience with insurance coverage for IVIG. I was advised that insurance companies routinely deny coverage for this treatment because they consider it experimental. Also, I just read in the second edition of Jaquelyn McCandless's book, Children with Starving Brains, that she uses oral immunoglobulin. Anybody have any information about oral immunoglobulin. Dr. McCandless mentions the riks of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease with IVIG. How great is the risk? Does the same risk exist with oral immunoglobulin. Anyone who can share any information or experience with IVIG or oral immunoglobulin would be appreciated. Bob Krakow
