Weaning the Diet

We have decided to wean my daughter off the diet as we have not had consistent seizure control in the almost 8 months we have been on it. In fact, for a while, her seizures were much worse and we are now on more medication than we were pre-diet. We started Keppra a month of so ago and we saw some dramatic improvements. We have slowly gotten down to 3.2:1. Over the past week or so, her seizures have picked up a bit, despite the recent increase in Keppra. Are these withdrawal seizures similar to what you all talk about with med weans? Or, was the diet doing more than we thought?

Any thoughts?

Tammy
