In fact, we are at only half the postings we had during august last year. This has concerned me, but I don't really know why it's happening, so I can't do anything about it. > I posted that I visited Jacqui's new school on Monday, right? Guest guest
This is a follow up and an explanation to my *ARRRRGHHH* posting... >>>>>> Give them 141 page manual from the BC ministry of education. Apparently they need explicit leading by the hand. Grrr. Jacquie <<<<<< To make matters even worse, yesterday I received paperwork from the school. I opened them, not really expecting what was inside. It was Jacqui's teacher and room assignment....It was the WRONG teacher!!! I couldnt' believe it! So, ok..give them the benefit of the doubt...maybe someone just boo-boo'd. I call the school to make sure. I leave a message with the office manager who says " they'll take care of it " . A while later I get a call back from the principal. She doesn't understand why I'm calling " We took care of that on Monday when you were here, remember " ? (Um, yeah..I hope I remember what *I* did on Monday)... then she asks... " What makes you think any differently " ...? I tell her that I received paperwork in the mail for Jacqui's teacher assignment and it was the wrong one. " Oh " , she says " That's probably the one we sent out earlier...we're not THAT fast " . I tell her that the ENVELOPE WAS POSTMARKED MONDAY! She still says " Well, that's not when we sent it " . Well, my ass that's not when they sent it. I'm not STUPID. They are covering their asses. I don't like this one bit. I don't like going thru this crap especially when school hasn't even started. I'm not sleeping. I'm obsessing. My husband is out of town. I'm gonna blow...I swear. When do the situations become " good " ? *sigh* Penny

Guest guest
Sara - He gets home very late tonite. Tomorrow we are going to have a VERY long discussion about what's happening. Our kids have so many challenges ahead of them, I believe they deserve better than this. I don't think anyone has even read her IEP yet! Penny - feeling ill.... Guest guest
When is her first day? I just lit the candle, but I can do something the night before that will (hopefully) help her be serene (as much as an autie can, anyway) thru the first day. With your permission, of course!!! Item one: I'm a little concerned at the volume of the list being so low! What gives???? Is it usually like this during the summer, Jacquie...I should know this, but.... Item two: Of course, the list will NEVER been vacant because it seems like at least *I* am always going to have an issue....for example: I posted that I visited Jacqui's new school on Monday, right? Got everything all straightened out, right? hmph. Got stuff in the mail today (because I hadn't already)....guess which teacher was listed as Jacqui's? Yep. You guessed it. Wrong one. On the phone I go. Again, I'm told this will be taken care of.... *sigh* I think I also posted that Jacqui would start sleeping in her bedroom on August 20th. Today is the 21st. Guess where my dh found Jacqui at 5am this morning? On my floor. *sigh*. Never did make it to her bedroom. But, hey...I have a nice shrine in place in her honor. Please......light a candle for Jacqui, would ya? She really needs the first day of school to go well..... Thanks! and Jacquie, once again...thanks for the list. Is it usually like this during the summer, Jacquie...I should > > know this, but.... You know everything goes in cycles, when I joined originally it was busy, then all of a sudden we doubled the amount of posts in a month and kept going up up up!! Don't worry if the lists slows, it WILL NOT Die! Except I am going through PUtter Story withdrawals! I miss Salli's wonderful postings, but I'm sure she has her hands very full right now. We visited the school last night, Mitchel's teacher is about 3 weeks away from giving birth! I was a little concerned about that, since we get used to her then she leaves then she's back. But she told me that his aide is definately the same aide from last year, so that will help the transitions very well. And Wow - the speech and special ed rooms are so huge compared to what they had before - it'll be great for them. I have a VERY funny story - we were touring the whole school (since it's 'new' to us grade schoolers) checking out where everything is, and we went by the Pre-K room, and said hi to his prek teacher (who he had for 2 years) and she motioned for me to come in and she had a newspaper clipping to ask me about. We had went to our local library for some special kid events over the summer, and there was one pick that had emily and mitchel's backs in it. And she asked me if it was Mitchel. I thought it was hilarious. But it was typical Mitchel, sitting hi up on his knees, with his arms flailed out in every direction. I thought it was funny that she recognized him. School on Monday - GOOD LUCK TO ALL! Kerri
