As martin says, you will be in good hands, and 16 days after surgery, you

should be feeling pretty good.

I am not sure if you will be up to a paris trip, but take it by how you feel

on the day.

As for your muscles...mmmmmmm, i also walked around up until the last point,

but during the surgery they cut a few muscles, and they do take time to

recover.

That should give you some info. It was ver easy getting from the airport in

Brussels, to gent. You can even get an airport shuttle on the way back for

aboutUS$ 45, this was good coming home as they use modern minibusses.

LESSON- if you are staying for so long, take a whole heap of clean clothes,

as the hospital does not have a laundry service for patients. I had to send

my better half to the laundry mart, which is about a 20 minute walk away.

But still, better to avoid it if you can right?
