How Important Is Chelation Therapy?

Within the Peptide Clathration lies an effective solution to

physiological toxicity. In laboratory studies it has shown to effectively

clear heavy metals, toxins, plaque, pesticides, chemicals, and residuals

Methods Of Action:

PCA is the first peptide clathration formula and the most effective

chelating substance discovered so far. These specifically sequenced

peptides form a lattice, or inclusion complex. Multiple receptor sites

attach to a toxin with irreversible bonds; literally wrapping around it

to prevent any additional reactions with tissues or organs as it is

eliminated from the body. Other chelating substances claw to the toxin

with a reversible bond at a single receptor site and attempt to tow it

out of the system, leaving it free to interact with anything it comes

into contact with while in transit.

Because the nutrient particle sizes in PCA are formulated in nanometers,

and it is a natural colloid, the body recognizes it as a nutrient. These

colloidal nanometer particles also provide the water carrier with the

hydrogen bond angles increased to 180 degrees (linear water) thus

lowering the surface tension and making the water wetter, thereby

absorbing more efficiently via the oral mucosa. Each nutrient particle

also carries a negative surface charge, and cells contain a positive

surface charge, so absorption occurs electrokinetically. This is a much

more efficient method of absorption than osmosis, where 50% is the

maximum level achieved. PCA easily gains access into the mitochondria of

the cell where it can get to the heart of its housecleaning project.

There a peptide ligand binds with greater affinity to cell receptor sites

than heavy metals thereby releasing the heavy metals. A companion

molecule then clathrates (wraps around) the toxin, keeping it flowing in

the circulation for elimination. PCA bonds to toxins with ionic, covalent

and hydrogen bonds as compared to DMPS (the most commonly used chelating

agent in the past) which utilizes only an ionic bond.

PCA will not bind to beneficial minerals because those that belong in the

body are bound and protected by their natural and appropriate enzymes.

Heavy metals and toxins do not have natural enzyme systems to protect

them. PCA targets non-complex, loosely bound metals. However, if there is

an excess of a natural mineral in the body, as with calcium plaque

deposits, PCA will bind to it.

Metals Clathrated Include:

Lead, thallium, cadmium, arsenic, aluminum, mercury. This is important to

note because if a patients system is saturated with lead or another heavy

metal, your urine mercury readings will not drop until you have

clathrated the metals with higher valences. In addition, mercury goes

into a methyl form and can be stored in fatty tissues binding affinities,

making its removal more challenging.
