For workout shoes, they peel the sole off, add the lift, and glue the sole back on. >I'm still mystified as to how and why we're left with a longer leg >post-op when the rap on resurfacing is that it's supposed to carry >a lower risk of discrepancies than THRs. My left femur has been working its way up the pelvis for several years. My surgeon did my right (better of the two) hip first, placing it where he wanted them both to end up, which meant I was even more katywampus after the first surgery than I was going in. He evened everything up with the second hip. He dropped the acetabular component down 2.5 cm from where the hip had settled. He also had a neurologist in the OR who did nerve testing to be sure I didn't end up with sciatica or nerve palsy, as that is a LONG stretch, and many surgeons will tell folks it can't be done. I would try going to a good chiropractor. You may have some pelvic tilt stuff that could be contributing to the length difference. Someone else may be able to shed more light on the post op subject as well, since I didn't study that much-I was praying to be a little closer to even, and God answered my prayer well. I am dead straight even for the first time in at least 10 years. Blessings to you in the New Year,
