Guest guest
I am praying this last metho shot works for you. That does sound crazy that they want to deliver it to your house. I had my injections at the emergency room. They were not allowed to administer it at the dr office. Are you getting the injection tomorrow? Guest guest
, Sorry you are having to go through this. But just think of the alternative - SURGERY! I hope this will work. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Love & hugs, Jo-Ann
Guest guest
Hey Pam, Yes, I'm getting the metho injection tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. Thank goodness I have a very understanding manager--I've been missing so much work, as I'm sure many of us have. The whole deal with delivery to my house is really agitating me--isn't it funny how this is getting to me more than the actual ep process? I mean, metho is very toxic--I can't understand why they'd put it in my non-medical hands! It's not the same as fertility drugs that are self-injected, like heparin or the drugs used for IVF. When I talked to the dr's office, they said that they would give me the shot tomorrow out of their stock, and then I'd bring in the box when I get it to replace their stock. DH and I agreed that it's best for me to go in and just get the shot before bringing up my issues about this. That way, they injected me, it was ordered by the doc, and my ep is not at further risk of bursting. I still haven't placed the order through the mail house. Maybe I'm overreacting ... Take care, __________________________________________________
Guest guest
, Gosh, I'm sorry you need another shot. You are in my thoughts and prayers that this will do the trick for you. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow. When will you get your next check to see if it is helping? Take care!! Kel
Guest guest
, Sorry you have to have another shot of Metho... I think it is very weird that they want you to have the med's Fedex'd to your house. The two times that I was treated with Metho, the medical people treated it like it was some type of chemical weapon or something. Thje first time I had to go to the Chemotherapy lab at the hospital and they used these heavy robes and gloves and the second time it was done in this sealed room in the ER. Strange, huh? Well, here's hoping that this is the final chapter in this sad ordeal.
Guest guest
Hi , I know what you mean about them treating metho like it's a " chemical weapon. " That's the same way they were with me the first time, which is why I think this is so strange. I had to sign all these releases and everything. The woman at the drug place told me that it comes with syringes and needles and stuff. How do they know I'm not some psycho who will inject some harmless stranger (don't worry I'm not). I'm really thinking they're treating it like a fertility drug, mistakenly so. Were your two exposures to metho with one or two eps? I'm sorry--I can't remember. Thanks for writing! __________________________________________________
Guest guest
I also had to sign release forms for metho. They had to make up the injection in the pharmacy based on my weight. They also made me get a liver and kidney blood test prior to the injections. When will you have your next HCG level checked? Pam
Guest guest
and , I was thinking the same thing! They were very careful with the metho. I did pick it up from the pharmacy though (right next door). Once it was opened it was as though it was serious stuff. I hope that things get better for you . I know that now your beta will start dropping fast. ((((HUGS))) Kim
