Guest guest
> I've been reading your messages with great interest the last 2 or 3 days and felt it time to introduce myself. I'm a 47 year old musician/cab driver who's been involved in AA and NA for almost 20 goddam years. I haven't attended a meeting in nine months and I can honestly say I've never felt better. I remember after making my decision to leave the fellowship I was overwhelmed by a great sense of liberation and empowerment. .It just stopped doing anything for me years ago but I was convinced there must have been something I wasn't doing right. Maybe some step I should be working, whatever the hell that's supposed to mean. I believe that part of what's happened to me is that I gave myself permission to go ahead and feel what I was feeling about the program and a lot of what I was feeling could not be expressed at meetings. So what else could I do? I was clearly going nuts. I had to leave. The bullshit I'd been feeding myself had become too much. My sense of liberation is coupled with a lot of anger at myself, I suppose, for having taken so long to make this move. Whatever. I'll figure it out. Anyway, I'm happy to know I'm not the only one who's decided to try another path. Who knows, maybe it'll actually lead me where I wanted to go in the first place. I'll bet it will. You certainly have a better life coming to you after what you've been through. Please don't be angry at yourself. You did what you thought you had to do at the time. Welcome to 12 step free. Guest guest
Dear a - Welcome. I hope you find strength here. I have heard of other women who've had ep after tubal reversal. Then again, there are many of us here who are trying for our first child, and the odds are very heavy NOT to have ep on the first pg, yet here we are... I understand how scared you must feel. I had metho with my ep, so I never ended up in the ER. However, I think with time you will find the strength and desire to try again. You do have one open tube, and there are many ladies on this list who have had a successful pg with one tube. a

Guest guest
Hi Lori. We must have similiar ep dates, because my due date would be this week (or next) also. My ep was Mar 13. Anyways, I am glad you found this group. It has been a great help for me. I think that is sad that people tell you " until you have a baby in your arms you won't be complete. " I can definitely sympathize, because soemtimes I feel incomplete but it sucks to hear someone say that. Are you currently ttc? How was your ep treated? I had a lap. Keep in touch, feel free to ask any questions! Hugs, -- In ectopicpregnancyegroups, JONES50@A... wrote: > HELLO ALL, > I'M, LORI, I HAD MY EP IN MARCH OF THIS YEAR. Guest guest
Hello*!!!! oh HUN I am so sorry for your losses*!!!! {{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}} I really don't know about all your questions....but I would say that a 55% chance with IVF is pretty good....but if I were you I would ask if that was (I know sounds rude, but how people word it) " take home baby rate " ...sometimes it is just pg in general...Good Luck with that route if you chose it.... I have also heard (and belonged to an email group to better understand the procedure...) about the Dr. Brown stuff....BUT I can tell you that it is $3500 out of pocket and not too many insurances are willing to pay a dime of that...another thing is they are telling people it is for any tubal disease...but from my understanding on the group it is many for people that have blocked tubes or " hydro " tubes.....so I am not sure about your case...... Now please I am not trying to talk you out of it....but please if you are interested look into it greatly....they (by they I mean the egroup I was in) seem to keep things hush hush and didn't like to explain the whole procedure or even what meds the DR uses....which made me leary from that alone..... ttc for almost 4 years ~A~ (9/21/99) ~A~Savannah Lynn (5/6/01) mailto:OneQueen@... Guest guest
Hi, Lori My name is Queenie, i'm 25 and i've had 2miscarriages 95/98, and 2 ep's in the left tube both in 1999, Mar/Dec. I still have both tubes. I had an HSG about 2months ago, and both tubes were clear. But, i decided to go through IVF.. I finally had my transfer Sat.. My RE gave me a 30%live birth rate.. and 40% if it's a blastocyst embryo, making it to at least 5 or 6 days, and alot of that is based on my age. We are paying cash for the entire procedure, and so far we have spent $10,000 cash for everything. So, i'm hoping this will work. I hope everything works out for you, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask, a few of the other ladies here has also gone through IVF.. Guest guest
Hi there. I just recently found out about this group. I'm not sure if I have Ashermans or if my RE just made it worse recently. I will tell you my history and any suggestions would be appreciated. In June 2001, I delivered my twin boys at 22 weeks. They died after birth. In the beginning of August it was discovered that I had retained placenta. My RE did a D & C to remove any remaining placenta. I also have PCOS and I never get a period on my own but had 7 day ones when I took birth control pills. We were told to wait until Dec. to try again. We started a frozen embryo cycle and attempted to build up a lining, it never got to 5mm so the cycle was canceled. (My lining was only in the 7s when I got pregnant with the boys). In Feb, we attempted an IVF cycle. My lining got to 5.7 in spots (it was very uneven) and we decided to try a transfer anyway. I got pregnant but miscarried almost right away. At the beginning of March my RE decided to do a hysteroscopy on me. She found bands of scarring at the top of my uterus which she said she tried to break up with scissors. I then took estrogen for 6 weeks but my lining never improved to over 4.7. She told us that with time my lining would heal itself and we would be able to try again. In the mean time we are attempting to correct my PCOS and lack of menstration with medicine and we are looking for a surrogate to carry one of our frozen embryos. I actually have pictures of my uterus from the hysteroscopy. There are 4 pictures of different places. All show areas of white. One picture the entire area is white. My RE never mentioned that the walls of the uterus were stuck together and I'm sure she would have if that were the case. My question is does it sound like I have Ashermans? What would you recommend as my next step? The more I read about this condition the more worried I get that I may never be able to carry a pregnancy to term. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely,
Guest guest
Hi Kate I was glad to read your story about your pain and your choses about the pain. I have had Ashermans Syndrome for about 7 months with two surgeries already. I have one baby girl and I am in pain all the time! I am not wanting to take all these meds for the pain. I am considering a hysterectomy. No one seems to think of it as a good option in this group. I have forgotten what it was like to feel good again and I am sure from your story that you understand! I hope you can find the decision thats right for you. Personally If you have had all the children that you want I see it as a option. I know there can be some nasty side effects but living like this is not worth it. Let me know how you feel I would love to know.
