Hey group I need your help again,

Here is the situation our central dispatch center is currently

managed by our sheriffis department who gets their funding from the county

commission. Due to several problems with dispatch itself the commissioners

are going to make dispatch its own enity starting Jan 1 2005. They are

currently looking for sample job discriptions for the Director and Assitant

director job discriptions. If any of you could send me something like that i

would appreiciate it. Also if you could give me an idea of how much this

person or people should be paid a year i would also like that. Basically

what the commisioners and i are doing is relocating the dispatch equipment

and building a new organization from the ground up with the assistance of an

advisory committee consitsting of a represenative from each enity that

utilises the center. So any help you could offer would be greatly

appreciated. Just to let you know of what we are dealing with central

dispatch is used by all the fire departments in the county, our ambulance

district, the sheriffs department and the police departments for the county.

The county consists of a county seat with approximately 30,000 people and a

university. The next largest town is 3,000. there are several small towns

also that have town marshals. We have 3 main frequencies operating with fire

and ems countywide on one, all LE exept the large city police on one and the

large city on its own freq. So anyway thanks for any help you can offer.
