Guest guest
bathtime is traumatic here as well. It takes two of us to hold set down so we can wash her hair. It is just horrible! Chris I'M THANKFUL FOR LAUGHTER, JOY AND THE HIGH SPIRITED GLEE THAT FILLS MY HEART TO OVERFLOWING (SIGH). -EEYORE Hair washing.....ugh! I really hate washing Alec's hair. I dont like doing Greggory's either but depending on his mood it is sometimes ok. But when it comes to Alec it is always screaming and crying. I hate it. Just needed to vent that. Guest guest
Right here with ya, Jacquie. Alec may be too big for this, but the best way I hace found is to get into the bathtub with him. I can hold his back against my front and lean back with him a little -- enough to keep the water out of his face. If you're not comfortable being naked with him you could put a swim suit on. Tho I'm sure you've got your own method(s) worked out by now! The things we go through that nobody else in the world would understand. -Sara. Guest guest
Thats a good idea. I will give it a try. Basically I just wash Alec's hair as quickly as possible while trying to pin him down. Everything we tried before failed so now I just try and get it over with as quickly as I can! Jacquie H who never thought she would be writing to a group of women about how to wash her 4 yr old's hair. Guest guest
I feel for you Jacquie. Mark is the same way, that's why I cut all of his hair off. Buzz cut. This way it's easy to shampoo and rinse and less time for screaming. Tina W. > I really hate washing Alec's hair. I dont like doing Greggory's > either but depending on his mood it is sometimes ok. Guest guest
I am hearing all these toilet episodes. So far I've been lucky enough that Mark doesn't do that.(knock on wood) He loves the water and sometimes takes 5 baths a day (without the hair washing). He will sit in front of the sink and play for hours or spend hours outside with the garden hose. I hope he doesn't start with the toilet, I feel lucky now.
