Guest guest
I had a similar experience only mine didn't go away. Mine was more in line with true anxiety which low doses of valium wouldn't quiet down. To get to an effective dose, I was rendered a zombie and gave up on it for that and extreme weight gain issues. I'm glad you are able to get past it and that it works. It's a true wonder drug for those of us who also have fibro. But as is so typical of us, it doesn't work as expected for me. Keep feeling well. wrote: I've been prescribed Lyrica 100MG's since Febuary. Has anyone else had feelings of nervousness an hour after taking the dose? I've been noticing my entire body has been shaking for an hour or three after taking the dose.

What you have specifically described isn't listed as a possible side effect from Lyrica testing, but that doesn't mean you aren't having a reaction of some sort. (go to www.lyrica.com to read the full prescribing information including side effects.) One thing to worry about with anti-seizure meds is that they can sometimes (VERY VERY RARELY!) actually *cause* seizures. The risk is higher with higher dosages. You need to talk to your doctor to make sure that you aren't getting some early signals of such a reaction. Whatever you do, do NOT stop taking this medication suddenly. That can bring on a seizure, not to mention other ugly withdrawal symptoms. Stay on your usual schedule, but talk to your doctor on Monday morning and report this reaction. If your doctor thinks there is a reason to stop the medication, he/she will work with you to titrate down your dosage slowly so that you don't have any adverse effects from stopping. Any and all out-of-the-ordinary sensations or reactions to any medication should immediately be reported to your doctor, even if you've been on the medication for years. A person can suddenly become sensitive to a medication that they've taken for a long time with no problems. Let us know what you find out. Good evening Cheryl, Oh I do recall reading about not stopping it suddenly, and I don't plan to stop it.I think it's a small price to pay in order to quell the nerve pain, but I will inform my doctor on Monday morning. Thanks for the heads up Cheryl. ,New York

Also, watch you vision, it swells everything, I think. It reminded me of a hormone response as the wieght gain was as of one when I took hormones The vision stuff (blurred) was similar of when I was pregnant. It worked for the fibro stuff but the side effects were worse for me. Bennie
Guest guest
Regarding Lyrica, my dose is one one hundred Mg pill every eight hours. I did read the www.webMD.com warnings and the www.lyrica.com warning that Cheryl was so kind to send me information on it. It did state that you should Not take any Valium with it, nor any type of barbiturate. It could cause further seizures. Please read the warnings for Lyrica and all medications. It just may save your life. /New York
Guest guest
You know Bennie, now that you mention it, I did have some vision problems at that time. When reading I get rubbing my eyes because of the blurring. Sadly, all the weight never came off for me as I have lipodema and some of the extra pounds had converted into lipo fat. Didn't need that! Kaylene I've tried lyrica and could not tolerate it, also i have tried the . I Nortriptyline do not do well on antideprssents either. i have severe fibro and lyrica did not touch my pain but good luck to you. i hear others have had good luck with both meds. love and peace lorial
