Lupus

Look me in the face and tell me what you see,

You see someone a little like you and I see someone alot like me.

I hide in shadows and stay to myself,

Like a porcelain doll on a toymakers shelf.

Sometimes I'm tired and still I smile,

Sometimes the world seems that extra mile.

You love the beach as do I,

But I don't go much and I'll tell you why.

I have ten fingers and ten toes,

I even have a mouth and nose.

The difference between you and me,

Some people don't notice and others don't see.

They say what I feel is all in my head,

They say I am lazy if I stay in bed.

The call it the Wolf the mask that I wear at times on my face,

They call it Lupus at the doctors office or a specialists place.

I have a heart that I try to use,

I love the colors and love the hues.

But most of I want you to see,

I love you for you and want you to love me for me.

* This is to everyone with Lupus, those with loved ones with Lupus

and those who lost someone to Lupus.
