Guest guest
Had surface replacement April 9th, Dr S. I can't say enough nice things about the professional staff at the ortho hospital. The pain was minimal. Everyone there new what they were doing. I guess they have seen a few surface replacements. I met and Bob whom had resurfacing done the same day. It was great we really bonded since we had this thing in common. We seemed to push each other to do new things and we also had fun writing a song. Dr S thought it was pretty funny. I am at day five and feeling pretty good. I have got a little naseua from time to time, but it usually only lasts an hour or so. My only surprise came Thursday 4 hours after being released from the hospital, I had a shooting pain that was 10 times the pain of the hip surgery. The pain shot down to my right testicle. I was miserable. The Doctor at the emergency room had a few tests done and said he was pretty sure I was passing a kidney stone. The good news he said " that if its in the testicle the worst should be over and he was right. I felt a little discomfort flying home on Friday but nothing like the pain on Thursday. The moral of this story is Drink plenty of water everyday you are in the hospital. SOme of the medicine can Dehydrate you. Take it from me drink, drink and drink plenty of water and juice. I am totally off the pain medication, vicodin. I am going to see how it goes. Just one less thing to take. Talk to everyone soon. and Bob I want to here from you guys.
