Guest guest
Hi Joanne! You and your family have been in my thoughts and prayers so much in the last few days! I am sure that you are feeling as stressed as we are! The holidays are just going to happen around here. Like you, we have decided that what gets done, gets done, what doesn't, doesn't. Luckily, I have most of my shopping done already, I just need to wrap everything. I'd like to put our tree up this weekend, as I think my 2 year old should have a tree at home. (She is going with us to Chicago, and will be there with me through most of December). Do you know how long your son(s) will be in the hospital? I am honestly not sure how long we are looking at for dad's stay. The donor will be discharged from the hospital after 3 days, and then will stay at the hostel until we get a release from the hospital. I am just curious. Where will your transplant take place? (well, not 'your' transplant...but you know what I mean:). Ours is at Northwestern in Chicago. Wishing you all the best, and know that you and your family are in my prayers.
