Guest guest
Irene is currently on her way to the hospital. She talked to her GI, not surprisingly calling from work which she went in to today, and he told her to get there. He's called the hospital so hopefully she won't have an awful time in ER. The feeling is that since now she's not had a bowel movement for over 30 hours they need to proceed with the surgery. ly, I like that idea rather than another six weeks or so of painful waiting and she does too, although she would have preferred a little planning and at least her pj's. In the middle of it all she was still able to laugh. She's taking bus, train and taxi to get there. She couldn't call an ambulance because they would have only taken her to the nearest hospital, not the one her doctor wants her in. I told her not to let them send her out of that hospital until she felt well. I don't care what they do, but she just can't be sent back home to suffer as she is. I don't know how she's held up this long. I have had almost the same surgery and though it takes some recovery time, I know it's a whole lot less suffering than what she's been going through. I'm going to a concert tonight but she's promised to text me before it and to let me know later if she's in a room, headed to surgery, or what.
