Guest guest
We generally only run an IQ/FQ request if we think they might have history in the 5 states (last I checked) that don't participate in NCIC III (Hawaii, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, and Vermont). We get Kentucky anyway. I think I'm the only 1 at my agency that even knows there are states that aren't in III. <--geek Boone Co, Kentucky [personal] 911:: NCIC Request > Actually, the logging Requirement is: > > a.) I've wondered about the people in charge in our state, have they got the authority to tell this county to start making cards? Wonder if the FBI would have the authority to do same? Or can this ol' county sheriff just thumb his nose and tell them to talk a hike. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Best regards. scott@... 2004-07-
Guest guest
TN puts gun permit info on the DL record. There is a field that states " gun permit " and the responses are either " valid " or " none " . Thanks for the info on FQ. I love the KQ, I have found soooo many multiple DUI offenders that way. Had one once upon a time, I was riding w/ my best friend, a DUI investigator at the time, and the arrestee was very obnoxious and seemed real familar with the process, but claimed only one prior. We were suspicious, so back at the ranch I ran a KQ on the states he'd mentioned living in, and lo and behold I found 4 priors. TN DUI law states that for 3rd offense and beyond, it's a felony. Also, there is the " 10 year rule " which means if there is a 10 year period w/out a dui, then they don't count for sentence enhancement. His first prior was more than 10 years before his second, so we couldn't count that, but it still kicked him into felony. Moral of the story? Don't piss off the dispatcher who already hates DUIs to begin with, and knows the computer software really well! :-) > > > Date: 2004/07/31 Sat PM 12:37:53 EDT > To: <911console > > Subject: 911:: NCIC Request/ IQ/FQ > > I've learned in my 18 + years that III is only those ARRESTS that were > fingerprinted. > There are thousands of arrests where: > a: Never printed > b.
