Guest guest
we have a problem here and I just can't figure it out. My DS has red cheeks, not the ones on his face, his bottom cheeks. I have tryed giving him an epsom salt bath and it made it worse, after rechecking his hair test I see he is high in sulfur, so from what I have read the bath isn't for him. I have not seen other problems just the red butt. We are also potty training (w/o alot of success) could this be from that? I don't know if it's yeast, I know very little about it. Any help would be appreciated. BV

Redness of skin is associated with food issues and/or phenols, but this is usually not skin on the bottom side. http://www.danasview.net/phenol.htm It can be yeast http://www.danasview.net/yeast.htm It also can be a sensitivity to his urine in his diaper. Some kids don't tolerate certain diaper brands, you can consider switching and see if that helps. Dana

If you are just beginning to sort through the possibility of food intolerances, Doris Rapp's " Is This Your Child? " is invaluable.
