Guest guest
This is a 911 CARES Activation. Please add Helen Ebers to your prayers today and pass this to fellow dispatchers. We will post any updates to www.911cares.com <http://www.911cares.com/> Here is the note from their dispatch center: Three weeks ago, my senior dispatcher at Ralls County 911in New London, MO, was treating with antibiotics what we thought was going to be her yearly bout with bronchitis when things suddenly turned very nasty. It turned into pneumonia, she collapsed, was taken to the hospital where they found a collasped lung and by morning she was in septic shock. The sepsis still continues to be a problem, and she has been in an induced coma for three weeks today. The third day she was in the hospital the doctors called in her family and a priest to give her last rites. They lost her twice but she is still hanging in and fighting every thing that's thrown at her. They put in a trach and feeding tube last Thursday and tried bringing her out of her coma, but were unable to do so. Her blood pressure is very eratic and Monday of this week they again pronounced she couldn't make it through the day. In the afternoon they put a tube in her gall bladder to help drain off infection, and that night she was up and then down as far as her survival rate from the doctor's standpoint. They just don't understand her faith and all the strength that the entire community has gained through prayer. Once again she pulled through despite the doctor's predictions. Every time we have had a request from 911cares, Helen always made sure to include these requests in her prayer chains and in her personal prayers. We would like for all of her fellow dispatchers to return the favor and put her in their prayers so she can beat this terrible illness. Thank you so much.
