I am scheduled to have a surface metal-metal replacement on my left hip on April 2nd at JRI in CA. My mother had a THR 10-11 years ago, so I know a few things about recovering. I've been hoping to get this surgery for so long that I just can't help but think about what I can do after the surgery. My main question right now is the recovery time. I really want to get back to work because I am so tired of feeling useless. I would appreciate any insight on how long others took after surgery to be able to drive and maybe sit in an office for part of a day. Also I should mention that I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, so even with hip replacement I still have other pain issues to deal with. Plus I have yet to have children (31 years old) and want to plan this as well after surgery. Well..I hope to meet some of you. My name is Sheikh and I am at angella34@...
