Guest guest
Hey there. Sorry I haven't updated since like September probably but wow, school starting kept me jumping with a 4 and 5 year old and all but we did keep up with the chelation using Andy's protocol. I think that I maybe didn't post after update 3 but I did keep notes on hand so that was helpful. So okay, my kid (, 5 years old; dx'd at 3 year old in 2000) started in full inclusion kindergarten September we had completed maybe 2 rounds (???) detox, maybe a couple more. We had gone from not using the computer (he couldn't even answer a question receptively about what was on the screen, eg show me the bear) to (after one round of detox) using the mouse as if he had been doing so forever. We saw the Dr. who is helping us here in beg of Nov who was MUCH impressed by the differences he noticed. This was a kid who climbed the walls first time around and now sat and drew on paper. He was thrilled (and let me tell you, takes a lot to see thrilled with this Dr.). At this point, had started printing words that he saw on paper or on tv and not really like over and over. He had started drawing things and putting the words to them. And, he had started draaawing new things beyond shapes and would respond when asked what it was. At one poiint, he had drawn a blob on the paper, I asked what it was, he said medicine. Ha ha. He had drawn what it must seem like to him when the medicine is coming out of the syringe! So cute. Just saw the doctor last week. is now reading and I am telling you not the whole Dick see spot, Jane see spot, see spot run (which is totally okay cause let me tell you my daughter will be in Grade 2 before she gets there I think!); he can read (not memorized I promise) a 16 page Blue's Clues book that has like at least 10 - 15 words on the page. And Friday, I gave him a book that he hadn't read or seen previously and he read it for his K teacher. So, let me tell you... my son is definitely not cured but at least I can see some hope that we can save him. We have our hard days - like getting his supplements etc into him - but at least we can see a road to the goal of (hopefully) speech (he is still non-verbal). But hey, if he can communicate in print, that's cool. Thank you all for listening so far. If it weren't for all of you here, I would have never started this. For those of you still contemplating, boy oh boy, there is such potential there that this is part of the track we have to follow.
