Hello all. Today I started giving my son supplements:Vitamin C 525mg,

Zinc-25mg and CLO (VitA) 5000IU. After his second dose, the school

nurse called me and said my son was flush in the cheeks and itchy all

over. Is this because of the high Vit. C? He has had 50mg of Zinc in

the the Pfeiffer Primer (no longer giving him that) and he has had

CLO 3500mg before. Is this temporary? I haven't even given him the

3rd of 4 doses yet? Thanks for any help. Tina

Yes it is. I flush with many vitamins, and when I flush it makes me itch. Here

are the possible side effects of vitamin C: lower back pain, diarrhea, headache,

flushing, stomach upset, nausea, vomiting.

My sons can not tolerate any vitamin C supplements but Allergy-C

from TwinLab. It is the only C supplement that I know of that is

corn-free. Maybe you need to try a different brand? I know there

are other vitamin C products that are made from beets, etc. but I

do not know a brand name. Does your son have " issues " with corn?
